Hi, my name is Mary and I'm from Bakersfield, California. Also known as "Nashville West" thanks to Buck Owens. He lives here and has the "Crystal Palace" open. It is here that Buck brings in a lot of singers for concerts. Comming Jan 24h are Willie Nelson and Leon Russell!! What a concert that's going to be!!..Then on the 26th will be David Kirsch. Frequent guests to the "Crystal Palace" are Merle Haggard and Dwight Yoakum. Buck also owns "KUZZ" 107.9 FM. The best C&W music station in the San Joaquin Valley! We also have had 2 local bands make it big in Nashville. Smokin Armadillos and Big House.

Bakersfield also has a "Rockin Rodeo" that brings in singers for concert.

Speaking of Dance, Have you heard "The Dance" by Garth Brooks! When he made the video for "The Dance" he did it for JFK, Martin Luther King, etc. Perhaps now he can add Princess Diana.

Went to see him in concert on Sunday Aug. 24th in Fresno. The man puts on an awesome show!!! I recommend going to see him ...He is on his world Tour, so if he is in your city or one near you, treat yourself to his awesome performance!!!

His latest release is "Longneck Bottle" off his new CD "Sevens" Got it yet? I did! It's great!

Now how about some Alan Jackson...He's been on my list of favorites since he sang "Chattahoochee" His latest release "Between The Devil and Me"
