Welcome to SAOIRSE LGFC web page. Our team was formed back in 1997 by Dympna Doherty(Belfast) and Padraig Brennan(Galway)over a few pints of Guinnesss in Paddy Flynns (Our sponser ever since) In our first year we won the junior ladies Western Divisional Football Championship then the North American junior ladies football championship.We train very hard but also party hard to! Our Team decided to play senior football last year under the great leadership of new captain Fiona Reynolds( Belfast)and coached by Kevin O Shea (Kerry).We continue to play Senior football in 1999 with great success to date and are always interested in new players to join the team.Anyone interested in joining please contact me at the email provided and I would be glad to give you any information you need slan go foil SAOIRSE ABU *********************************************************************************************** COME OUT all ye players at home wanting to play gaelic football with the best group of girls in the North West!We are a hard playing and partying team seeking more of the same to fill their ranks.Dont be shy give us a call or e mail and let us know when your available.All American born women encouraged to join.Some of our best players never actually played gaelic until a few months/years ago so come along and give it a try.We promise youll at least have good fun playing..only draw back is the severe headaches cause by hangover!
