Cameron Clay House: 125 W. Central Avenue Suite 450 Coos Bay OR 97420 Cameron Clay House: Hope for the abandoned, Discarded High School Student. PURPOSE: The Cameron Clay House is to provide a nuturing supportive Christian home enviroment for young men and women while they complete their high school education. In 1995 several members of the Coos Bay area recognized an urgent need for housing and family support for young people of high school age. Family structure across the nation as well as in the bay area is under siege. Social and economic forces have created families which are dysfunctional. Unfortunately some young people of high school age find themselves on the streets without food, shelter, and family support. WHAT WE ARE DOING: Satellite Homes: Existing Christian parent homes near Marshfield High School that accept one to two young men and women who would be part of this program. The homes could be those of"empty nesters" or people with children still in their home, both with "room" in their house and their lives. How do you get involved? Become a financial supporter. The Cameron Clay House is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation which relies on contributions, grants and endowments for its operating funds. Become a part of the resource base. We need a resource base to turn to for help. If you can provide a service let us know. If you live in the Coos Bay, Oregon area we will welcome house parents for the homes that make up the Cameron Clay House group of homes.
