My name is Laurie, and I'm in my 4th year of a Film degree from Queen's Unviersity, in Kingston, Ontario. I've wanted to make movies for as long as I can remember, and Spike Jonze has definitely been a big influence on my choice of career path and my filmmaking style. I would love to be able to have his energy and child-like enthusiasm and direct that into making punk videos and documentaries.
Aside from filming and going to school, I love going to shows, and my absolute favorite band is Down by Law, closely followed by the Bouncing Souls, H2O, Sick of it All and Social Distortion (and of course the man, Mike Ness). I love tattoos, the '50s look, Rose McGowan, and anything loud, especially when it comes to going out and having a good time.
I'd love to be able to get into music videos and short films one day (that's about all my attention span allows me to do) and own my own publishing, production and record companies.
As it stands, I'm the director and producer (and pretty much everything else)
of Ivory Girl Films, and we have a few videos as of yet, but
