GLAMIS FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area/Glamis had 92,000 visitors during the 1997 Thanksgiving weekend. This is an incredible number as it effectivly doubles the population of the county during those four days.
Glamis Fire Department's personnel were kept constantly busy, rendering aid to those injured in off-road accidents.
The Glamis Fire Department is funded exclusively through private contributions.
