I was born and bred in HALIFAX, in the beautiful Province of NOVA SCOTIA ,which, in my humble opinion, is one of the best places in which to live. After graduating from Queen Elizabeth High School I completed a Business Administration course at the Community College. In time, this was followed by additional courses in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, Human Rights, and of course, the odd computer course or two.
My nickname
comes from my love of crafts of all kinds. I am currently into
glass etching, basic crocheting, clock making, decorating wooden objects,
making Christmas ornaments etc. Craft shows are a weakness of mine.In addition to crafts my interests include
gardening, reading, music, collecting/swapping
RECIPES,
cooking and of course, playing on my computer. My cookbook collection is multiplying faster than dust bunnies, and is
threatening to take over the house soon. Now, if I could only learn to cook. (ha ha)
As for MUSIC , my tastes run the gauntlet from Country to light Classical, through Gospel to Scottish. Being a true Baby boomer, I still have hundreds of albums in my collection. Hopefully, there are still a few of you out there who remember albums.
Recently, I have been compiling information on my family history. I have created a new page JEDDORE I hope you will drop by for a visit.
I have recently uploaded about 14 pictures of Mitchell & Day family members from the Jeddore area of Nova Scotia. I have never been a sports fan but do enjoy watching figure skating and grand prix horse jumping.
As a POLIO SURVIVOR , I cannot stress the the importance of childhood immunizations strongly enough, for all treatable conditions and diseases. The pain of ARTHRITIS has been with me since the age of eleven. Hopefully someday they will develop a cure for what can be a very painful and often crippling condition.
