Club News

The turnout at the September 13th and 20th meetings was great. If this is any indication, we should have a successful October Show with everyone participating.

The set-up for the show will be Friday, October 8. You should bring your Show trees and your plant sale trees starting at 3:30 to 4:00pm. Please try to be no later than 4:30 to 5:00 pm because the exhibit will be all set-up and we have to vacate the building before 6:00pm.

Bring your food donations for the hospitality room in on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 10:00 and 11:00am. Food should be plated on an appropriate plate or platter, please no paper plates. Please put tape on the bottom of your dishes with your name. Dishes may be picked up after the close of the show on Sunday when you pick up your trees. If your dish is a hot dish please provide a hot plate to keep it warm.

Happi Coats will be available at the show if you wish to purchase one for $45.00.

On Sunday be at the exhibit before closing time so we can take a group picture. Also don?t start taking your trees out until the construction crew have the back drops out and loaded on the truck. They have to get to Livermore and get everything in the storage locker before it gets dark.

Brothers from China restaurant, 2001 Contra Costa Boulevard, Pleasant Hill (near the Pleasant Hill Post Office). Take the Gregory Lane or Contra Costa Boulevard exits from I-680. The time will be 6:30pm to 7:00pm social, dinner served at 7:00pm. Cost is $21 per person, including tax and tip. Beer and wine are extra. You can park at the restaurant or in Safeway?s parking lot. You can sign up for the dinner part and pay Tom Fong at the October Show.
