Generation
One CAPTAIN ROGER MALLORY1 is the
first of this
line to settle in America. There are
genealogies written
about the ancestry of this family, going back
more
generations in England, but I prefer to start
my own with
the immigrant ancestor of each of my
families. Roger
MALLORY
was born it is estimated, between 1632-1638
in England, the
son of Rev Thomas Mallory and his first wife
Jane. He
obtained a grant of land in Virginia in 1660.
He also
interited the plantations in Virginia of his
Uncle Rev.
Philip Mallory. He settled in Kent Co VA,
which first
became
King & Queen Co and then King William County.
His children
were: 1) William; 2) Roger; 3) Thomas; 4)
Charles; 5) John;
6) Elizabeth; and 7) Jane. Generation Two THOMAS
MALLORY2 son of Capt Roger
MALLORY. He married
about 1700 to Elizabeth HIGGASON. Thomas and
Elizabeth had
five known children; 1) Thomas; 2) Henry
Higgason; 3)
Elizabeth; 4) John; and 5) Philip. He died
about 1750. Generation Three PHILIP
MALLORY3 son of Thomas MALLORY and
Elizabeth
HIGGASON. His birthdate is unknown. He
married Lucinda
PYNES
and their three known children were: 1)
Clement Pynes; and
2) Grisell/Gilly; and 3) Philip. He was a
Captain in the
Revolutionary War, and was taken captive and
held for
several months by the British. It is not
known when his
wife
died, but he married again 24 Nov 1783 to Mrs
Jane
(Humston)
Harrison, widow of William Harrison. Phillip
died in
1811. Generation Four CLEMENT PYNES
MALLORY4 son of Phillip MALLORY
and Lucinda
PYNES. His birtdate is not known. He was
listed as a
taxpayer in Brunswich County, Virginia
1781087. He was
married to Ann/Nancy RANDOLPH. Not much is
known about him,
but he had at least one son Edward Mallory.
He died in
Fauquier County, Virginia in 1799. Generation Five EDWARD
MALLORY5 son of Clement Pynes
MALLORY and
Ann/Nancy
RANDOLPH, was born about 1782 in Virginia. He
married on 11
Mar 1806 to Lucy HUMSTON. Edward and Lucy had
nine
children:
1) Clement Pines b 23 Dec 1806; 2) Edward
Humston b 12 Oct
1808; 3) Nathaniel Quarles b 1 Mar 1810; 4)
Susannah
Quarles
b 1 Jan 1812; 5) Sidney b 29 Nov 1813; 6)

Dec
1816; 7) Mary E. b 15 Dec 1819; 8) Darah Jane

and 9) Elias Mordecai b 18 May 1826. They
were living in
Frederick County, Virginia in 1810 and then
Fauquier County
in 1820 & 1830. He moved his family to Marion
County,
Missouri about 1835. His will was dated 6 Dec
1831 in
Fauquier County, Virginia and probated in
Marion County,
Missouri in 1838. He died there on 3 Feb
1838. Lucy died
there on 12 Oct 1846. Generation Six SIDNEY
MALLORY6, daughter of Edward
MALLORY and Lucy
HUMSTON, was born 29 Nov 1813, probably in
Fauquier County,
Virginia. She married Nimrod D. TOLLE on 7 Jul 1834
in Fauquier County, VA. They were married by
Hy Furlong.
Edward MALLORY and Nimrod D. TOLLE made bond
for $150 and
both signed their names. Sidney and Nimrod
had eleven
children surnamed TOLLE: 1) Elizabeth b ca
1836; 2) George
E. b ca 1837; 3) Nathaniel Washington b 5 Oct
1838; 4) Lucy
Mallory b Jul 1840; 5) Mary S.; 6) Elthiza;

born in
Fauquier
Co VA and the remainder in Lewis County,
Missouri. Nimrod
was a soldier of the Civil War. He served in
Company K,
29th
Texas Cavalry, Colonel De Morse's Regiment.
One history
says
he was killed in 1864, possibly hung, by
bushwhackers, but
no details are known. After the war, Sidney
and some of her
family moved to Crawford County, Arkansas.
She died there
about 1875 and is buried in the Bryant
Cemetery, in Lee
Creek Township, Crawford County,
Arkansas. <<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>>
