THE AD'S ON MY PAGES ARE NOT MY DOING, AND I DO NOT RECOMEND ANY COMPANY OR SITE, THOSE ARE EMBEDED BY ANGELFIRE/ LYCO'S. I JUST NOTICED THIS, AND WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH THESE MERCHANT'S, AND DO NOT INDORSE OR RECOMEND THEM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.

Welcome to The Wolfsden, a site with the Enthusiast of Slot Cars in mind. This site does not post results from National events, nor does it deal with anything above Group 11, as those fields are well represented elsewhere. It does deal with things like: How to idenitfy a Vintage car thats worth more than the original price, tips on maintaining your Entry Level car: Womps and Flexi's, converting your commerical car for home use, and in general offering answers to questions that are often asked by enthusiast's, and people who are getting into Vintage Collecting.

I have been an enthusiast of Slot Cars for the last 30 years, ever since I saw a home set at a Sears store in the 60's, and wish to offer tips, as well as comentary about a field which is becoming more and more distant from it's roots: Model Car Racing.

In the 1950's, when Slot Cars began, they were based on miniture models of actual Racing cars and Street cars. The Mid 60's saw the birth of the Pro Era, making better equipment. The 70's saw the decline of the sport, the 80's saw a resurgance, though scale appearance was less of an issue.

Watch for the New review pages that will be added soon. I will be doing stories on the newer 1/32 cars for home use, and an article on home tracks.

If you ever have a question, please feel free to send me an E-mail, and I'll try to answer your questions. I will also be adding a section for Mini Radio Controlled cars, 1/14 and smaller. Stay Tuned
