Shell Stitch Capelet
Copywrite 2005, Carrie Viskozki. This pattern is provided for your personal use only. Please do not copy to another web site without permission.
Size: The first two rows will measure approximately 23” across. Capelet will fit most plus sizes. To adjust starting chain, measure length needed. Chain in multiples of 4, plus 1 chain at end for size needed.
Pattern Stitch: The pattern will call for graduating sizes of shells (2DC, 3DC, 4DC) and increasing number of chains between shells, so be careful in following each row instruction.

Repeat Row 13 for desired length. I chose to make mine about 32 rows in length. It ends just below the elbow, leaving the rest of the arm free.
A decorative pin or button finishes this off nicely and holds the cape in place at the neck opening.
