*NSYNC- Ain't No Stopping Us Now Tour

Location: Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, Irvine, CA & Blockbuster Pavilion, San Bernadino, CA
Rating:
Okay, first of all I just have to explain that I am combining these two shows because I left the first one early, for purposes I cannot share. (It wasn't because it was a bad show, believe me!) Well, this was my second and third time seeing this new *NSYNC tour, and let me just say now that I enjoyed it just as thoroughly as I did the first time. The opening of this tour is killer, probably my favorite one. (Actually, I think I still prefer Star Wars, but what can ya do?) I love the Mission Impossible theme, and AssWipe rocks my world! At the Irvine show, we were especially impressed with the helicopter that flew over the audience; nice touch! The guys were full of energy as usual, though I think Justin was a little sick, because his voice sounded a little rough. I would also like to add, whatever they've been putting in Lance's water, someone PLEASE keep doing it!!! He has become so sexy lately, it's not even funny. I love the new spikey hairdo, and I think someone also finally taught that boy to dance! (Aaaah, pelvic thrusts!) Joey still needs to get rid of that bright red hair, Chris's new glitter braids are slammin', and JC needs to take the glitter OUT of his. Back to the actual show, I still don't understand why they open with "Here We Go", but the crows definitely seems to enjoy it. The inclusion of the time warp section still stands out as one of the most enjoyable parts of the evening. I took a friend of mine, Isabel, along with me to the show at Irvine, and she was NOT an *NSync fan. After seeing the guys play their own instruments for "That Thing You Do," she was thoroughly impressed. (So impressed in fact, she is now a full-fledged *NSync fan!) Chris sounded great during the Jackson medley as usual, and Joey did a good job with "Celebration." One comment about the choreography during the time warp section: ::Laughs uncontrollably:: (Yes, that was my comment!) I also have to say that I am totally loving the "U Drive Me Crazy" video. I love seeing the guys dressed up as Spice girls, heavy metal guys, the Jackson 5, and rappers. Who knew that Chris could be so attractive in a dress? I do think it is inappropriate, however, to have Joey looking at a GIRLY MAG in the opening, but that's okay, I'll get over it. Guys, if you ever read this, RELEASE THIS VIDEO IN AMERICA! =) Now it's time for my complaints, of which there are very few (that have to do with the guys anyway!). My one major complaint is about the ending of GMHSALMTOY. I used to think that milking the ending of the song for five minutes was excessive, but 13.5 minutes is just plain absurd! It's cute for about the first half, but it gets annoying after a little while; I can only take so much of the screaming Justin fans as it is! My other complaint is with a certain venue. ::coughcoughBLOCKBUSTERcoughcough:: It took us three and a half hours to get out of the parking lot after the show. With only one road in and out, this venue is insane. I don't see how the guys even got out of there. Of course, this concert had over 50,000 people in attendance, breaking an *NSync record I believe, but I expected better organization from the venue staff. I will NEVER go back to this venue again! Anyway, nice job *NSync, and keep up the great work!
