"YOU NAG HER AND YOU SWAG HER, YOU THINK YOU'RE GONNA SHAG HER..."
Welcome to the second page of archived poetry from around the U.S.A (okay, so actually only 5 are from outside of California)! Most are old peices that are anywhere from a month to 3 years old. Unlike the first page, I will not be posting up the author of the piece, but rather, I shall maintain this section as a retrospective view of these poems instead of showcasing them as per the prior link. Whew! Mouthful, huh? Okay, so enough with the "legal" stuff. On with the compositions!
Sincerely,
"Whendidee-whendidee-whendidee?"
-Ross Gellar, "Friends"
I love the way you curve and flow
And blend into a full-framed you.
The sullen line between your lips,
The motion of your stare
And the softness of your neck.
The heart that beats in your chest
Pours your vitality
And keeps your body warm.
Pulsing through all your being,
Your mind is full of thoughts
That you allow to escape one by one.
And as I ponder you
I'm met by your eyes
With their twinkle and their passion.
And then you smile,
And I see your soul embrace me,
With it's warmth.
And I cherish the moment...
...Every time it occurs.
Come and go, you know you can.
I'm sick of being your crutch-fall man.
So no one's been good to you, you told, I know,
But you still can't see you're not one to show;
To show me how mean they've always been
You bounce off of me all of your sins.
You know I always had more than a crush on you,
But now I'm no less than crushed by you.
A three-cast play, and I'm no part.
The second hero, a trivial art.
A look, a step away from magic,
A wordless kiss could be tragic.
Forever in the background I'll be loving,
But always in your heart you'll be running
From what makes you alive and purely unselfish,
Yet dead enough inside to act too hellish.
To follow my heart, I'd be leading you on,
Making you think I could be everything you want.
Maybe I could and maybe I couldn't,
But you don't live for me as you once put it.
So lie, go ahead and lie, just not to yourself.
Don't worry about me, I'll be on your shelf.
Where I went wrong is where I felt right;
Right next to you, held in your halo light.
Come and go as you please.
I'm tired of being you're downtime diease.
I've hit my wall, I've fallen from my cloud.
And this time love, I hope you're proud.
Everyone likes me,
Don't they all?
Some don't, though
It's not my fault.
What about me?
Try not to forget,
I get a say in this.
For which, I don't regret.
They get a second,
Third, fourth chance.
Stepping on my toes
Doesn't end this dance.
Infinite f-ing patience
Is handed to everyone;
It's taken for granted.
My impatience then begun.
Dropping floors in
My opinion of you,
Is an infinitely hard
Occurrence to imbue.
Step on my toes,
Kick in my shins.
But soon, quite soon,
The dance again begins.
You, my friend,
Nonetheless, no foe,
Aren't just stepping on,
But stomping my toes.
You are no enemy,
But this sharp advance
Is the beginning of the end
Of our bittersweet dance.
My shins are wet
But my thighs are dry.
I remain here,
But I don't know why.
My arms are heavy
From the cloth in my hands.
It waits for you
With short, thin strands.
Some are out,
Some are in,
But my problem is
I can't swim.
I could get out,
I could go further,
But I stay here
And I go nowhere.
I should get out;
Or should go further?
But I stay here
And I go nowhere.
Some are out,
Some are in,
But my problem is
I can't swim.
I once knew a women on the edge of perfection.
I loved her completely with God's own perfection.
A shy beauty and sweet as can be.
I knew at that time she was for me.....
But as stories all go, the the future is bleak.
My love was murdered for being to weak.
The child she is now is too scared to care.
Running from a shadow that was never really there.
The fear of her mother driven to her core;
But the mistake she'll repeat, for she knows nothing more.
It seems no one here can overcome
But I'll never leave away from anyone.
A push from a hand the begs to hold
Another one's hope and love untold.
Afraid of fear and scared to know the past.
The shadows can dwell on you and last.
I need to find a place where good people sing,
Where someone can take me under their wing.
Can you hold me, take me there?
Let me go alone naked and bare.
I'll try and handle it all by myself,
But if I need you promise me you'll be there to help.
Turn around and take me there.
I would like to say that life is more than perfection.
But lying is something I don't do, it's an infection.
The shades come down, life's the slowest suicide.
Praying to your pillow now, knowing you cry at night.
Like a snowflake caught in a fiery grip,
A lie can escape so fast past through your lips.
Sometimes I wanna dissappear and walk alone,
Walk down the road which no one has shown.
But can you hold me, take me there
And let me go alone naked and bare.
I'll try and handle it all by myself,
But if I need you promise me you'll be there to help.
Can you turn ayourself round and take me there?
I know your eyes can be blue one moment and smile
And then they'll be brown but still be beautiful with style.
I've seen you change, and I know the times you end.
And it hurts every time you change from friend to friend.
Why can't you stay still and help me follow through one?
By the time you figure this out, I'll be dead and all done.
You must see this world and me as your biggest threat.
Love, I don't think anyone's figured you out yet.
You say you care,
But you put me down
Under foot, underground.
Why does it have to be this way?
Once my heaven,
Now my hell.
You come 'round here to watch me.
You follow, let me breathe!
Just let me be....
Anymore of this and I'm gonna leave.
You're my friend and I love you just the same,
But you gotta let me live life.
(Even with the mistakes...)
You can't cradle me in your arms
'Cause I know about those hidden charms.
I know their voodoo
And the damage they could do.
Next time I see you,
Don't make me walk away.
Be the boy I love, tell me it's gonna be ok.
Just whisper it to me.
"Please let me stay."
And the faster the world spins around in circles,
The stronger she gets and ties her laces tight.
She'll sing to the music, won't care what the beat is,
And when the wind comes, she braces for the fight.
She's ice in the spoon, the water on the wall,
A simple drop from the sky that lands at your feet.
The night consumes so many things we have left,
But she'll be the there, the last light in the street.
And so I'll continue to continue to pretend
That my life wil never end,
And flowers never bend
In the rainfall.
She walks alone sometimes, alone, a force of nature.
As precious as any stone on earth, yet soft as anything.
Rain, Rain on my face, she floods the heart with grace.
She can't see them yet, but she's got angel wings.
I know things happen, and everything can't be wonderful.
Scars are souveniers you never lose in the scheme of life.
Defending your loves in this world can seem without reward.
I kiss the ring you gave me and swing with all my might.
And so I'll continue to continue to pretend
That my life wil never end,
And flowers never bend
In the rainfall.
Your kiss so sweet and honest.
With your heart beating faster and faster.
I want you on me, in me, by me.
Touch me gently.
Run your hands through my hair and down my back.
I want you, I need you.
Do you want me the way I want you?
I long for one more night with you.
To feel your hands on my body,
Your lips against mine.
To smell your skin and kiss your body.
For one more night that is all I ask.
Beginning to fall asleep,
The sun no longer shining in my eyes.
Is the alignment of the moon
That causes me to wonder?
To wander inexcplicably?
You dazzle me,
You shimmer and fade from view,
Being your own mirror to the sun;
I hunger for your peace.
All the things unsaid, I dream.
No longer lost in his bed,
I'm not retreating from this.
I'm just experiencing a new sensation.
You make me real.
I find comfort in you,
And I'm okay with solitude.
I'm just in love and no longer lost;
I've discovered that you found me
Before I found you.
The Moon is shining all around you,
And friends and competitors alike can't help but stop what they're doing
And glance at you with awe,
Though some may try to hide it.
What many --
Except, of course, those whom are closest to you --
Cannot see is the years of blood, sweat, toil and tears you have dedicated
To constructing the kingdom that has captured so many imaginations.
So the rule of the day
Is to keep your wits about you,
Keep moving full-steam ahead
And lead by example if you must lead at all.
The buildings so cold in this port of air.
While I'm waiting so slow to pay my fair.
As always, I search, and she is there.
That sweet little girl that does not seem to care.
Beautiful and blond with a few curls in her hair.
I sit all alone and do nothing but stare.
Though it does not really matter, for soon she'll be gone.
And I will be along again contemplating what went wrong.
In the grand scream of things, she could have been my wife.
And for my weakness this is now lost for life.
Could it all have been changed with one little word?
Would we then be together no matter how absurd?
It would be said we met on the flight.
Then we wrote to each other day and night.
And in this love I asked you to stay.
Away from my life not another day.
Happy in life and with joy untold.
Watching our grandchildren lives unfold.
We are in love to the day I can no longer speak.
And the breathe from my body can no longer leak.
Bit it's all gone now, I've missed my chance.
Yet who really knows; It was only a glance.
DID YOU KNOW?: The possum have 50 more teeth than any land mammal. It's true.
