THE PERFECT MAN

Is there such a thing as a perfect man
Are there things he will do that no one can
Does he really exist in this world somewhere
Will he come if i trust in a dream and a prayer

What would the perfect man for me do
Would he see me and be the one to pursue
Would he know from the start how to touch my mind
To reach to the depths and to cherish what he'd find

All women long for the one who will know
What she wants to hear and how to show
The love that he feels in a million ways
Someone who will mean every word that he says

Should he be handsome and short or tall
Does how he looks really matter at all
He would need to be attractive in a way to me
What that means lies in how he makes me feel you see

Someone who can hold me when i am afraid
Who can be there for me and come to my aid
Make me laugh when im sad, and cherish my tears
He will know my spirit and dispel all my fears

I dont know how i will know him i guess he will tell
He will say "I am that man", i will be under his spell
I've waited a life time for him to come and be near
I hope he says all that i have ever wanted to hear

Is my perfect man perfect?No, i dont think he will be
I'm not perfect either, just doing my best you see
Together maybe, we can help each other to grow
Is there such a man, does he exist, yes i think so

I wait for him here, my hand is stretched out
He will take it and walk with me of this I've no doubt
Just to be by my side and to give strength to my days
I'll love him and cherish him for as long as he stays
