(formerly known as "Atheist Gal's Page", because when I created it, I was an atheist. Then I became "A Theist Gal". Now I'm just ... me!)
WHOA - BACK ALREADY??
But I still think the message I gave below is a good one, so I'll repeat/rephrase it: wherever we came from and wherever we're going, RIGHT NOW is all we've got for sure - so make the best of it!
SAYING GOODBYE
UPDATE - 07/13/2006 - just came in to let anyone who's still reading this page (though WHY I can't imagine, since I haven't updated it for 2 years!!) that I'm not really "A Theist Gal" anymore. For one thing, I'm a little old to be called a "Gal" - and for another, I'm not 100% sure I'm a Theist. It's something I'm working on.
And the stuff I wrote below about how this wasn't a faith crisis or anything? Well, I meant it at the time, but looking back now, I can see that I actually WAS having a "faith crisis". And this is the result.
Maybe one of these days I'll update the site again, and let you know what's going on.
And ENJOY YOUR LIFE - 'cause it may be the only one you get!
UPDATE - 07/08/2004 - Well, it's been a long, strange trip, but after some reflection, and more importantly, some unfixable technical glitches, I've decided to say goodbye to my Theist Gal web page. I'll still leave up the link to the old page but I won't be editing or updating anything anymore, and I've deleted the link to the guestbook (so I don't have to pay for it anymore!).
My main problems are: I'm too busy with other stuff in my life. I don't have the time or the motivation to really fix the page the way it needs to be fixed. There really aren't enough "hits" on this page to justify keeping it in existence (much less shelling out almost $20 a month to Angelfire & the guestbook provider).
The good news is, this is absolutely NOT prompted by a "crisis of faith" or anything like that. Christ is still the center of my existence and I hope He will be yours as well. But the web page ... isn't!
So happy trails to y'all and thanks for your support. I've appreciated the spirited e-mail exchanges I've had with you. If you miss the page please let me know (at christinelehman@hotmail.com) and maybe someday, when I get a home computer again and/or have a lot of free time on my hands, I'll come back and check things out.
Come visit me at my Stooges Woman page from time to time, will ya?
Meanwhile, I'll leave you with the words of Venerable John Henry Newman:
May the Lord support us all the day long
till the shades lengthen and the evening comes
and the busy world is hushed
and the fever of life is over
and our work is done.
Then in His mercy, may He give us a safe lodging
and a holy rest
and peace at the last.
