Search For A Father part 2

“Where to today?” Dark Ninja asked as Sparow and Ruby prepared to leave for the day.

“I’m going to go find a man who might be my father,” Sparow said as he opened the front door of the log cabin for Ruby, “His name is Avatar.”

Being a wanted man Avatar was hard to find. Avatar was being hunted by his former employers the FWL, and was doing a good job hiding. But after nearly a half-day of searching Sparow managed to find Avatar, who appeared to already occupied with a bounty hunter named Death Hand, a small man, with short jet-black hair, dressed in a black trench coat. Death Hand’s hand was glowing a bright red, as he seemed to be holding Avatar at a distance.

“Do you know that man?” Ruby questioned as she pointed at Death Hand.

“Name’s Death Hand, his magic comes from his right hand. Not a very good fighter but that hand of his, more than makes up for his lack of fighting ability. As you can tell he’ll do anything for money.”

“Well what are you waiting for, lets get him,” Ruby said as she stood up from her hiding position.

“Relax, I take care of him,” Sparow said as he rushed out ahead of Ruby.

Death Hand was all that bright enabling Sparow to sneak up on him, without being noticed. Sparow calmly stepped behind Death Hand and tapped him on the shoulder.

“Leave me alone,” Death Hand yelled as he turned around and threw a fireball at Sparow.

“I don’t have time for you,” Sparow said as he quickly ducked, the fireball and swept Death hand off his feet, “Now then Avatar I have a question for you.”

“Not another bounty hunter,” Avatar said as he pulled out his sword.

“Cool down,” Sparow said as he directed his Ice-fire at Avatar’s sword, causing him to drop it immediately.

“He’s my bounty,” Death Hand yelled from behind.

Sparow turned around just in time to see Ruby’s whip wrap around Death Hand right wrist, preventing him from attacking.

“Not so fast hot head,” Ruby said as she held Death hand in place.

Death Hand slowly smiled evilly, as he grasped Ruby’s whip with his hand, causing electricity to run through Ruby’s whip, knocking her down.

“Who’s next?” Death hand asked, as sparks of electricity still sparkles off of his fist.

“I don’t have time for you,” Sparow said as he shoved his sword deep into the stomach of Death Hand, “Now Avatar, this may be a strange question, but are you my father?”

            Avatar laughed.

“It’s a yes or no question,” Sparow said, upset at Avatar’s reaction.

“Sorry just the thought of you being my son, cracks me up,” Avatar said in between laughs.

“Fine then, do you know who my father is?” Sparow asked.

“That I do know,” Avatar said as he finally stopped laughing, “Yes I know your father well, a very good man he is. I be happy to tell you if you do me one tiny little favor.”

“Not another favor,” Sparow said under his breath.

“I’m getting sick and tired of all these bounty hunters, as I recall, you use to be a major player in the FWL, I bet you know their computers like the back of your hand.”

“Yes that is true,” Sparow said nodding his head.

“Well I bet you could sneak us into FWL, and delete the file containing the bounty on my head.”

“That can be done,” Sparow said after a second of thinking about it.

“Great, now let’s take care of this bounty hunter and we be on our way.”

Sparow turned around to see Death Hand was already gone, in his place was his bloody sword, a bloody trail leading off into the woods.

“Well at least he left my sword,” Sparow said as he leaned down to pick up his bloody sword, “Should we go after him?”

“No, after we delete the files them kind of people won’t be bothering me anymore,” Avatar said.

“If the how you want it,” Sparow said as he wiped the blood off his sword with his sleeve, “So let’s be going then.”

And hour later Sparow was leading Avatar and Ruby through the dark underground tunnels of FWL. Sparow realized it be insane to try to get to the main computer of FWL, which would be smack dab in the middle of FWL headquarters. Lucky for him, he knew all the computers were connected, so if you tamper with one, you tamper with them all, and lucky for Sparow there was a well-hidden computer in these dark tunnels.

“Are you ok?” Avatar asked a still shaky Ruby.

“She’ll be fine,” Sparow answered for Ruby.

“Don’t worry about me, I’m stronger than I look,” Ruby answered.

“But that was a pretty nasty shock you took back there,” Avatar said, concerned for Ruby.

‘Doesn’t this guy listen?’ Sparow thought to himself, before realizing the computer he was looking for was right around the corner, “You two wait here, this should only take a minute.”

“What’s with him?” Avatar asked as Sparow rushed around the corner, “He’s your husband, correct? Yet he seems to not care about you at all.”

“You can’t blame him, really,” Ruby said with kindness in her voice, “He was forced into the marriage, but I know he cares for me, he just has a tough time showing his feelings.”

“If you say so,” Avatar said with uncertainly.

“Do you really know who his father is?” Ruby asked.

“Sure do,” Avatar said with a smile.

“Can you not tell him, he needs to find out for himself? Just give him a clue on who his father is.”

“Anything for a pretty lady,” Avatar said with a smile.

“I’m done,” Sparow said from around the corner.

“Great,” Avatar said as he joined Sparow around the corner, “Now if you don’t mind, I got something else to do before I leave.”

“Wait,” Sparow asked before leaving, “Who’s my father?”

“All I can tell you is he is a very strong man,” Avatar said as he turned his attention to the computer in front of him.

“That’s it?” Sparow asked frustrated, “For Christ sakes that stupid rainbow crystal was more helpful than you.”

“It’s better than nothing,” Avatar said, more concerned with his work ahead of him, “Now I suggest you leave now, you don’t want to be here when I finish.”

“Well did you find out who your father is?” Ruby asked as Sparow reappeared.

“Let’s get out of here,” Sparow said walking right by Ruby.

“Wait what about your father?”

“It’s not him,” Sparow said with anger is his voice, “But I think I know who it is.”
