Search For A King
“May I help you?” Silver Samurai asked, as he took a step forward. Before he took another step, one of the robots shot at Silver Samurai. Silver Samurai quickly blocked the shot with his sword. “I Think I be asking my questions, from over here now,”
Silver Samurai said as
he step back.
The ramp of the Silver Hawk slid
down to the ground, a second later the entrance door slid open, and out walked
Hawk, the cut on his forehead now gone, “That…”
All of the robots opened fire at
Hawk at once, sending him tumbling down to the ground.
Avatar started to move over to Hawk
to treat him, but Silver Samurai stopped him.
“Relax he’ll be fine,” Silver
Samurai said with a reassuring voice.
Just then Hawk glowed a bright
white. Hawk then made his way up to his feet, like nothing at all happened,
“Not very friendly are they?” Hawk said as he dusted himself off.
“How did he?” Avatar asked in a
state of disbelief.
“Oh, didn’t I tell you? Hawk
inherited his mother’s gift for healing magic,” Silver Samurai said, acting
like it was no big deal.
“No you didn’t tell me!” Avatar
yelled in anger.
“Must have slipped my mind,” Silver
Samurai said, shrugging.
“We are searching for the king of
Tundra,” One of the robots said in a robotic voice, that was slightly different
from Ray’s.
“Wait, who are you guys?” Silver
Samurai asked the robot, now that he looked close enough all the robots also
look slightly different than Ray, they all looked, well meaner.
“We are the Star Corps of Tundra,
and it is urgent we find the king of Tundra,” the lead robot said.
“Wait, wait, wait!” Silver Samurai
yelled in a fit, too many questions floating around in his mind, “Why do you
guys look different form the Raymond model?
And wasn’t Tundra destroyed? And why would you be looking for the king
of Tundra here?”
“Processing information,” The lead
robot said, before his eyes went dull. A few seconds later the robot’s eyes lit
back up, “We are RAYMOND 2 models, a new and improved model over the weak
RAYMOND model. Tundra was destroyed 10 years ago, but it has been rebuilt. Our
database shows the princess of Tundra fled to earth after the destruction of
Tundra.”
“Whoa! A little too much information
at once,” Avatar said, getting a headache from all this new information.
“Wait I thought Tundra was destroyed
last year, not 10 years ago… God I hope I’m not getting so old that my memory
going,” Silver Samurai said trying to make sense of the situation at hand.
“Our database shows Tundra moves at
a much faster orbit than Earth,” The lead robot said.
“So in English terms the time on
Tundra passes a lot quicker than here on Earth,” Silver Samurai said,
understanding this whole mess a little more. “So I suppose you are looking for
Leslee Moon then?”
“Affirmative,” The lead robot said.
“Dad, who is Leslee Moon?” Hawk
asked.
“Boy your mother doesn’t let you out
very often does she?” Silver Samurai said, teasing his son, “Leslee is your
uncle Brian’s fiancé.”
“We get to go see uncle Brian,
yeah!” Hawk screamed jumping up and down.
“How old is he again?” Avatar asked
pointing at Hawk.
“He be three in a couple of months,”
Silver Samurai said with a proud fatherly smile.
“Well he looks nine-teen so tell him
to act like it,” Avatar said, covering his ears to prevent an even bigger
headache.
“It’s so nice to see you again
Matt,” Leslee said as she gave Silver Samurai a big hug.
“Hey, long time, no see bro,” Forgotten
One said as he gave Silver Samurai a high five, “What have you been up to?”
“You know, same old, same old.
Protecting the world, saving innocent citizens, keeping the wife happy, if you
know what I mean,” Silver Samurai gave a big smile.
“Yeah I know exactly what you mean,”
Forgotten One said, returning the smile, “So who do you have with you… Hey
Hawk, I haven’t seen u since you were two. Boy you have grown.”
“Uncle Brian!” hawk yelled in joy as
he hugged his uncle.
“Your Uncle… is having… trouble
breathing here,” Forgotten One said, gasping for air.
“Sorry I guess I don’t know my own
strength,” Hawk said bashfully as let go of Forgotten One.
“Leslee Moon, we must speak to you,”
The lead robot said, interrupting the family gathering.
“Ray, is that you?” Leslee asked
looking beyond Silver Samurai and Hawk.
“No queen, I am Raymond 2, a new and
improved model over the original,” The lead robot said.
“Wait a minute! Queen, Raymond 2,
what is going on here?” Leslee hold puts a hand on her head, “I’m getting a
headache here.”
“Join the club,” Avatar said, still
recovering from his headache.
“Come sit down dear,” Forgotten One
said as he led his fiancé to the couch, “All of you can come in to,” Forgotten
One said over his shoulder.
“Ok, Let me see if I get this
right?” Forgotten One said trying to sort through the facts, “Tundra was
destroyed ten years ago, killing the king and queen in the process.”
“Affirmative,” the robot said.
“Tundra was rebuilt, and the new
Raymond 2 models were built to search out for the princess, now queen of
Tundra.”
“Affirmative.”
“And you want Leslee and I, to go to
Tundra, marrying and rule over Tundra?”
“Affirmative.”
“WHY?”
“In order for society to flourish we
need law and order, and only a king can create the law and order we need.”
“Uncle Brian is going to be a king?”
Hawk asked, with a smile.
“No one said that,” Forgotten One
said, “I’m not sure if I’m ready to get married.”
“And why not?” Leslee asked,
slightly angry at Forgotten One’s answer.
“Ok, ok, I’m ready to get married,”
Forgotten One, said nervously.
“That’s better,” Leslee said with a
smile, “Ok let me just contact the Star Team and we can be off to Tundra.
All of the robots seem to panic at
the name of Star Team, which is very unusual, since robots weren’t known to
show any emotion.
“I’m sorry, we must leave right
away. The current situation in Tundra is dire need for help, we must leave
now,” the lead robot said.
“Ok I guess it just be the five of
us going then,” Leslee said.
“I’m sorry we can only take you and
the future king,” the lead robot said.
“No!” Forgotten One protested, “My
brother is going or I’m not going.”
“He’s right, Silver Samurai must
go.” Leslee said backing her husband.
The lead robots eyes went dim again,
“Ok just one more passenger,” the robot said a couple of seconds later.
“Wait!” Avatar yelled, “You can’t
leave me here, I got a bounty on my head. I have to go with you guys, they
never find me on another planet.”
“Absolutely not, we only have room
for three passengers,” the lead robot said.
“Just think of him as luggage,”
Silver Samurai said with a smile.
“Do I look like a suit case to you?”
Avatar asked.
“If you want off this planet I
suggest you act like one,” Silver samurai said.
“Very well,” Avatar said putting his
head down.
“What, about me?” Hawk asked, “I
want to see Tundra too.”
“I’m sorry son, you can’t come,”
Silver Samurai said in a fatherly tone.
“Why not?”
“Someone needs to keep mom company,
while I’m gone.”
“Butt…”
“No butts.”
“Ok, I take the Silver Hawk and tell
mom where you are going,” Hawk said as he started to leave the room.
“Make sure to wear your seatbelt
this time!” Silver Samurai yelled out at his son.
“I’m not a kid,” Hawk said before
vanishing out the door.
“If you people are ready, we can
leave any time,” the lead robot said.
“Ok let’s go,” Forgotten One said.
“It be nice to return to Tundra,”
Leslee said.
“It be nice to have a vacation for
once,” Silver Samurai said.
“I…”
“Shush, luggage doesn’t talk,”
Silver Samurai said cutting off Avatar.
