Bad Days Never Get Better

“Relax Leslee,” Silver Samurai said as he pulled on his trademark white shirt, “Go get dressed, and we find out what happened to Brian together.”

“What do you think happen to Forgotten One?” Avatar asked as he strapped on his chain armor.

“I’m willing to bet ten to one, I know what happened to him,” Silver Samurai said.

            “You’re on.”

A short hour latter, the three of them, Silver Samurai, Avatar, and Leslee now wearing another one of her purple gowns, were standing outside the crystal palace of Tundra. The palace itself was the only building in Tundra that was above water, standing above the rest of the city as a symbol of power.

“What are we doing here?” Leslee asked

“You’ll see,” Silver Samurai said as he entered the double doors of the palace.

After a long walk down the hall, the three found the door to the throne room itself. Silver Samurai threw open the doors of the throne room to find his brother, Forgotten One tied to the throne, next to him, was X, now dressed in all black, complete with a long black pony tail, with a sword to Forgotten One’s neck.

“Told you,” Silver Samurai said as he extended his right hand to Avatar.

“Damn,” Avatar said as he slapped a ten-dollar bill into Silver Samurai’s hand.

“Brian!” Leslee yelled as she rushed towards her husband.

“Stay right there,” X ordered, “Take one more step and the king here loses his head.”

“ Why X, Why?” Leslee asked as she stared in disbelief at X.

“Boy you are a true blond aren’t you? You abandoned us, you abandoned Tundra!” X yelled as he pressed the sword closer to Forgotten One’s neck, drawing a tickle of blood from his neck.

            “But…”

“Don’t start,” X said, cutting off Leslee, “The King, the queen, Tundra we all depended on you. And when things started to go wrong you abandoned us and never came back. You betrayed us all, and now you will pay for it with the life of the one you care about.”

“Ok, I heard enough,” Silver Samurai said as he stepped forward, pulling out his white fire sword, “Why don’t you get that sword off my brothers neck and try to use it against me?”

“Don’t make me laugh,” X said removing the sword from Forgotten One’s neck, “Silver Samurai right? Yes one of the biggest so called heroes on that little planet called Earth. I know everything about you, I know the fighting style of every hero, villain, or anyone else who ever picked up a sword. I’m the ultimate fighting machine.”

Silver Samurai let out a yawn, “Enough already, come down here so I can kick your ass, and we can go on living happily ever after.”

            X shrugs, “You’re funeral.”

X stepped in front of Forgotten One and motioned Silver Samurai to come fight him, Silver Samurai slowly walked towards X.

“Good luck,” Leslee whispered as the two fighters reached each other.

Silver Samurai gave ever thing he had, but X knew his ever move, even before he made it. Silver Samurai didn’t lose many sword fights, but this one he looked totally silly trying to hit X. It was only a matter of time until Silver Samurai had been disarmed and soundly defeated.

“Are you ok?” Leslee asked as she rushed over to Silver Samurai.

“Yeah I’m fine,” Silver Samurai said disappointed that he lost.

“Now if you excuse me, I got a king to kill,” X said as he turned towards Forgotten One.

“Wait!” Avatar said stepping forward with his sword.

“I got kings to kill, countries to run, I have no time for you,” X said over his shoulder.

“What are you afraid you are going to lose?” Avatar asked, mockingly.

“And you are?” X asked as he turned towards Avatar.

“The names Avatar, and I won’t let you kill my friend.”

“Sorry never heard of you,” X said as he turned back towards Forgotten One, ignoring Avatar.

“So the Ultimate Fighting machine is scared of a nobody?”

            “Fine, bring it on!”

Silver Samurai watched in amazement as X tried numerous fighting styles, but couldn’t strike Avatar. Avatar had just too much knowledge, and too much skill.  It wasn’t long before Avatar literally sliced the sword arm off of X.

“Impossible,” X said, as he picked up his severed arm with his working arm.

“We be taking Forgotten One now,” Avatar said as sheathed his sword.

“Very well, but Leslee I warn you, I, nor Tundra will not forget you abandoning us, we will get our revenge.” X said as he exited the throne room.

“Boy it’s nice to be back,” Silver Samurai said once they were safely back on Earth, “How long were we gone?”

“About two hours?” Leslee said checking her wristwatch.

“What?” Silver Samurai asked, not believing his ears.

“Remember Tundra moves at a much faster orbit than Earth, so time goes by quicker there,” Leslee said.

“I have to go now,” Avatar said.

“What are you talking about?” Silver Samurai asked, “I thought you needed me to protect you from the bounty hunters.”

“I realized I can’t hide from my problems, I must face them. I thank you for protecting me, but now I have to do things on my own,” Avatar said with pride in his voice.

“I understand, good luck Avatar,” Silver Samurai said shaking Avatar’s hand.

“Thank you,” Avatar said as he started to walk away.

            “Avatar?” Forgotten One called out.

“Yes?” Avatar said over his shoulder.

            “Thank you.”

“Don’t mention it,” Avatar said he disappeared from site.

The group now minus Avatar was almost at the exit of the forest they were in. The happy threesome were chatting among themselves, when out of the corner of his eye, Silver Samurai spotted a black fireball heading straight for the group.

“Watch out!” Silver Samurai said as he tackled Leslee to the ground.

“I knew if I waited around here long enough I find you,” New Samurai said as he appeared at the foot of the forest, being dressed all in black he fit in perfectly in the shadows “Oh Well, let’s finish this,” New Samurai gathered another black fireball into his hand.

Forgotten One was a hair quicker than New Samurai and quickly pulled out his Fire Rod, “Fire-Strike!”

A bolt of fire leapt from Forgotten One’s fire rod and hit New Samurai before he could react.

“Is that the best you got?” New samurai asked, unaffected by the blast.

“ No I got better, I call upon the power of…”

“Save it,” New samurai said as he sliced his sword in mid air, causing a wave of black fire to attack Forgotten One.

The wave of fire knocked Forgotten One clear unconscious.

“Now for you,” New Samurai said as he turned his attention to Silver Samurai.

“Go check on Brian,” Silver Samurai said to Leslee, as he helped her up.

Leslee didn’t move just continued staring into the yes of Silver Samurai.

            “NOW!”

“Sorry, I was a little fazed from the sudden fall,” Leslee said.

“Sorry about that,” Silver Samurai said.

Leslee rushed off rushed off to her husband but not before turning around to say “Thank you.”

“Boy this day never gets better does it?” Silver samurai asked himself as he pulled out his white fire sword.

“Now, Silver Samurai, you will die! Samurai Black Fireball,” New Samurai yelled as he unleashed the evil version of Silver Samurai white fireball.

“You never learn, do you?” Silver Samurai said as the huge black fireball neared him, “oh well, Samurai White Fireball!”

The two fireballs collided with great force, but Silver Samurai’s white fireball engulfed New Samurai’s evil black fireball. The white fireball hit New Samurai with enough force to send him flying against a tree trunk. New Samurai slumped against the tree trunk, unable to move.

“You’re getting old New Samurai,” Silver Samurai said as he walked towards New Samurai, his White fire sword extended, ready to strike, “I guess this day does get better,” Silver Samurai swung down as New samurai’s head.

Silver Samurai’s sword hit a large mound of dirt with a thud clang.

“What the?” Silver Samurai asked, confused where the large mound of dirt came from all of a sudden.

“Boys shouldn’t play with swords,” a lovely girl said as he she appeared from the depths of the forest. The female sported a dark green dress, with dark hair running down her back in a ponytail, in her right hand was a large staff very similar to Leslee’s minus the crescent moon.

“And you are?” Silver Samurai asked.

“You can call me Emerald,” The young lady said, “And you can step away from that man, unless if you want to deal with me.”

“You don’t understand this man is New Samurai, the most evil man on the planet.”

“I know full well who he is, that doesn’t change the fact that I’m not going to allow you to lay a hand on him.”

“And how are you going to stop me?” Silver Samurai asked, almost mocking Emerald.

“Like this,” Emerald said as the top of her staff flashed green, causing the earth around her to rise up.

“You think a little dirt is going to hurt me?” Silver samurai asked, almost laughing.

Emerald remained silent; instead she sent the earth around her at Silver Samurai in an X pattern.

Dirt, rocks, branches, pebbles, leaves; they all hit Silver Samurai with a surprising amount of force. Silver samurai collapsed a dirty and bloody mess.

“I see you are finally awake,” A familiar voice said, waking Silver Samurai up.

“What happened?” Silver Samurai asked as he rubbed his head, trying to get his vision back, “The last thing I remember this beautiful woman attacked me.”

“Awe how kind of you,” the voice said.

Silver Samurai vision returned to find he was inside of a jail cell, with Leslee and Forgotten One, outside of cell was Emerald standing side by side with New Samurai.

“So why aren’t I dead yet?” Silver Samurai asked

“Yeah why isn’t he dead yet?” New Samurai asked Emerald.

“Come on honey,” Emerald said running her hand along New Samurai’s face, “Wouldn’t you rather play around with your prey before you kill it?”

“Honey?” Forgotten One whispered to Leslee.

“You better know what you are doing,” New samurai said pushing her hand away.

“Look its simple, I’m a fair women, I give you a chance to get out of here before we kill you,” Emerald said.

“How kind of you,” Silver Samurai said sarcastically.

“It’s simple, we hold a little two on two tournament action, couple tournament if you will. The winner gets control of FWL,” Emerald said.

            “What!” New Samurai yelled.

“Shu,” Emerald said holding her finger to New Samurai’s lips, “Relax, I know what I’m doing.”

“What about me? I can’t contact Rosa from inside this jail cell?” Silver Samurai said

“Don’t worry dear, we contact your precious Rosa, and by some small chance she doesn’t show, well I guess you forfeit, and we kill you on the spot,” Emerald said with an evil smile.

            “Thanks,” Silver Samurai said sarcastically.

“I think I like the way you think,” New samurai said to Emerald as the two walked away.

“Boy this day just get worse and worse,” Silver Samurai said putting his head down.

“I hate to break it to you,” Leslee said as she went over to comfort Silver Samurai, “But bad days never get better.”
