Never A Dull Day For A Hero

It had been a couple of hours since New Samurai pronounced himself the winner of the tournament due to the disappearance of the other contestants. The crowd was long gone, a little disappointed in the outcome of the tournament.

Silver Samurai was just finishing up bandaging Melisa’s midsection when he spotted New Samurai approach ??? and Sapphire. ??? also spotted New Samurai and stepped in front of Sapphire to protect her.

“Out of the way,” New Samurai said as he pushed ??? down to the ground.

Silver Samurai decided he better go over there and stop this, so he quickly rushed over to Sapphire.

“Where is she,” New Samurai asked, as he grabbed Sapphire by the collar and lifted her off the ground.

Silver Samurai was about to step in when Sapphire sword started to glow blue, creating a gust of wind, pushing New Samurai back.

New Samurai quickly got back to his feet and stomped towards Sapphire again.

“You just don’t learn do you, hot head,” Silver Samurai asked as he stepped in between New Samurai and Sapphire. “So do you know where they are,” Silver Samurai asked turning his attention to Sapphire.

            Sapphire remained silent.

“Come on, I know you can talk,” New Samurai said a little impatient.

“Why don’t you tell them about Trinity?” the familiar voice of Leslee said from behind.

“Princess Leslee,” Sapphire shouted, as she rushed over and gave Leslee a big hug.

“Um darling,” Leslee asked in pain.

            “Yes?”

“Do you think you can stop hugging me, my ribs are pretty sore thanks to your sister,” Leslee said in a great deal of pain.

“Oh sorry,” Sapphire said shyly, “I haven’t seen you since, like forever. Are your mom and dad doing ok?”

            “They’re dead,” Leslee said sadly.

            “Oh I’m so sorry.”

“Girls?” Silver Samurai said trying to get the attention of the two females, “Do you think you can tell us what is going on?”

“Oh sorry, Matt,” Leslee said as she turned her attention to Silver Samurai and New Samurai, “My friend here is from the planet my moon orbits around, Trinity. I have known Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald almost all my life. Just like me they are royal daughters.”

“You’re telling me this goody-two-shoes, and that Amazon are related to Emerald,” New Samurai asked.

            “Yep,” Sapphire answered.

“Ok I get the point that the three of your are sisters… as strange as that might sound, but you still need to answer the question. Do you know where they are,” Silver Samurai asked.

“I have a pretty good feeling where they are at, and if I’m right we have to get there as soon as we can or they will be trapped there for all eternity,” Sapphire said.

“Wait right there, you guys are going nowhere without me,” Forgotten One said as he walked up to join the group.

“I’m going to,” Melisa said as she rushed up to Silver Samurai and grabbed his right hand.

“No you’re not you need your rest,” Silver Samurai protested.

“Yes I am,” Melisa shouted as she handcuffed herself to Silver Samurai wrist.

“Get this off right now,” Silver Samurai ordered.

“I can’t, I threw away the key,” Melisa said with a smile.

“I’m afraid my powers are limited, I can only transport five other people with me, so one of your must stay,” Sapphire said.

“Silver Samurai’s kid can stay behind he doesn’t look like he wants to go,” Forgotten One said.

“I’m sorry he must go with us,” Sapphire said, “I will also need the help of Leslee, and Silver Samurai.”

“There it’s a no brainier, we don’t need New Samurai so I’m going,” forgotten One said.

New Samurai stared coldly at Forgotten One.

“I’m afraid he does need to come too,” Sapphire said, almost regretting her own words.

“Listen, why don’t you go to my house and make sure Rose’s ok,” Silver Samurai asked his brother.

            “Fine,” Forgotten One said reluctantly.

“Ok, every one join hands,” Sapphire ordered, “I call forth the Power of Trinity.”

In a flash of Blue Light they were gone.

“Where are we?” Silver Samurai asked, staring at his surroundings.

The group seemed to be floating out in the middle of space. All around them was nothing but black with white squares, circles and other figures floating around.

“This is called the Vortex,” Sapphire explained, “It is the dimensional rift my planet Trinity has caused. Now we must hurry and find the others before we too are trapped here forever.”

“Isn’t this romantic?” Melisa asked staring into Silver Samurai eyes.

“An eternity with her?” Silver Samurai asked himself, “We better find Sparow and the other two sisters fast.”

They were only walking a few minutes when they found a strange looking sight. Not far ahead of them were rows of benches and a little farther up was a podium, where Sparow and the two sisters could be seen talking.

“Sister,” Sapphire said as she rushed up to hug Ruby.

“I’m glad you are here Sapphire,” Emerald said in a tone that made it obvious she wasn’t happy to see Sapphire, “Now we can get the weddings started.

            “Weddings?” New Samurai asked confused.

“Let me explain it to you darling,” Emerald said as she walked over to New Samurai, “If we don’t get married right now, we won’t be able to leave, and that mean you can’t fulfill your wish and conquer the world.”

“What a choice, stay here for all of eternity with my arch rival, or marry you so I can return home and conquer the World,” New samurai said thinking to himself, “I think I take the second choice.”

“Awe come one, we can play dress up,” Silver Samurai said, mocking New Samurai.

“Don’t forget part of my plan of conquering the World, involves your death,” New Samurai said as he walked up to the podium.

“Leslee, since you are the only one of us with royal blood not getting married, you have to be the minister,” Ruby said.

“Ok,” Leslee said as she walked to the podium.

“What about me?” Silver Samurai asked.

“Sit down and enjoy the wedding,” Sapphire said shrugging.

“You know we can always get up there and re-new our vows,” Melisa said smiling.

“Let just sit here and watch the wedding,” Silver Samurai said sitting down on one of the benches, “Four wedding in just a few short days, this could numb a guy out on romance.”

“What does Rosa have that I don’t,” Melisa asked out of the blue.

Silver samurai was taken back by the sudden question.

“Say Matt, what is your kid’s name?” Leslee asked, breaking the intense moment between Silver Samurai and Melisa.

“He does,” Silver Samurai said answering ??? question for him.

Another moment of silence passed between Silver Samurai and Melisa.

“Melisa?” Silver Samurai asked, breaking the silence.

            “Yes?”

“Why me?” Silver Samurai asked, “I mean I won’t take anything away from you, you are an attractive young lady, you should have no problem finding a man, so why do you persist to cling onto me, despite knowing I love someone else?”

Before Melisa had a chance to answer a loud roar could be heard.

Silver Samurai turned his attention towards the sound of the roar, to find what appeared to be a cross between a turtle and a dragon, and a quite large one at that. The creature had a study brownish turtle shell, with large twins cannons strapped to it, brownish turtles legs, a long red dragon tail, and a sinister looking dragon head, hissing and snarling. The creature itself stood at least fifteen feet tall, and wasn’t happy to see the group.

“Great I was hoping we be out of here, before he showed up,” Sapphire said.

“What is that?” Silver Samurai yelled, as he rushed up to join the group.

“It’s the guardian of the vortex,” Ruby yelled over the hissing, “And if we don’t defeat it Trinity and this vortex with us inside will be destroyed.”

“Hey where’s New Samurai and Emerald?” Leslee asked.

“Coward, just like him to run away from a fight,” Sparow said.

Just then a large fireball came flying towards the group, causing everyone to scramble for safety. Everyone but one ??? was able to avoid the blast.

“Ok I had enough of the over grown science experiment,” Silver Samurai said as he reached fro his fire sword, but was unable to grab it because of Melisa being handcuffed to him, “You know it be a lot easier to fight this monster, if I had use of my sword arm.”

“I’m sorry I didn’t think we be getting into any fights.”

Silver Samurai was about to argue some more when he heard the sound of a cannon blast and spotted a huge cannon ball flying towards them, but it was too late for Silver Samurai to do anything

Just then Sparow appeared and pushed Silver Samurai and Melisa out of harms way.

“You save me, why?” Silver Samurai asked.

Sparow struggled back to his feet, “Make no mistake about it, I will be the one to kill you not some monster. Don’t you think for a second I did it as a favor.”

Sparow attempted to raise his sword to Silver Samurai but his arm remained limp at his side.

“You’re injured,” Melisa said as she reached out to treat Sparow’s arm.

“Don’t touch me,” Sparow said turning away from the group.

“Looks like the are out of the fight,” Ruby said to her sister, noticing the terrible state Sparow was in and Silver Samurai and Melisa not being able to fight because of the handcuffs. Not to mention ??? and Leslee had already been hit with fireball.

“Well then we just have to beat the guardian ourselves,” Sapphire said as she avoided another fireball, “Ready?”

Ruby nodded.

“I call forth the power of the raging wind of Trinity, Tornado!” Sapphire yelled

Two large size tornados appeared out of thin air and headed for the guardian.

“I call forth the power of the destructive fire of Trinity, Twin Flames!” Ruby yelled.

Two snake like trails of fire started to join the large tornados, turning the tornados into a raging cyclone of fire.

The combined attacks hit the guardian, with great force, and after a large cry of pain the creature retreated, and the vortex start to disappear from sight.

All of a sudden Silver Samurai, Melisa, Leslee, and ??? were transported to the front of Silver samurai small little cabin in the woods. Leslee was still out cold from the fireball blast she took in the fight, but ??? seemed to be doing pretty well

“Son, look after Leslee will you?” Silver Samurai said before walking towards his home.

“Why are you in such a rush to see Rosa?” Melisa asked.

“Because I love her,” Silver Samurai said as he opened the door to his home.

There on the couch, was a scene Silver Samurai never expected in all his life. His brother and his loved one were making out with each other.
