Enemies Unite

It was a cold Thursday morning; Silver was out by himself in a secluded forest. Last night Silver found a note from his half brother Sparow, who wanted to meet him here in this spot alone at exactly eight in the morning It’s been a full two months since Silver had seen his brother, so of course he rushed out to see what Sparow wanted.

“You are so predictable,” a male voice that did not belong to Sparow said from the forest, “Only you would be dumb enough to walk into such an obvious trap.”

“Show yourself,” Silver placed his right hand on his sword, ready to draw his sword at a moments notice.

“Last time you got lucky,” Vertex said as he stepped into the clearing

“But this time, will be different,” Crimmn also stepped out of the forest and joined Vertex.

“And we brought a handsome man to help us too,” X-plosion joined the two boys in front of Silver.

“Face it, you can’t hope to beat all of us,” the fourth man who stepped out of the forest was tall and muscular. He had blond hair and wore crimson red armor. He was no stranger to Silver; it was Raven’s running buddy, the powerful Crimson.

“I didn’t think it was possible Crimson, but you managed to find even uglier people to hang out with,” Silver laughed to himself, “ Where is that freak of nature you hang out with anyways?”

“I wouldn’t worry about Raven if I was you,” Crimson drew his sword, “Because us four will be the last thing you see in this world.”

“Four against one, that hardly seems fair,” Silver drew his own sword, “For you guys.”

“I can handle him myself,” Vertex stepped forward, “I won’t fall for his same trick again. And we all know his fire magic is useless against me.”

“Simple minded fool,” with a flick of his wrist Silver sent a bleu fireball towards Vertex feet, burning the grass at Vertex’s feet.

“Hot, hot, hot,” Vertex quickly retreated to a safe spot, while Crimson stepped forward and easily stomped out the small fire.

“Watch how its done Vertex,’ Crimmn said in between fits of laughter, “This time I won’t let Silver use his fire tricks on my skeletons.”

Silver watched as bony hands started popping out of the ground all around him. It was only a matter of moments before ten skeletons surrounded him.

“Must you guys make it so easy, it’s embarrassing.” Silver said as he easily sliced off the head off each skeleton that charged towards him.

“Boys, let me show you how it’s done,” X-plosion sauntered over towards Silver, “Hunnie, you wouldn’t hurt little old me, now would you?”

“I’m sorry,” Silver grabbed X-plosion hand, before she could plant her hidden remote mine on him. “My wife said she kill me if I ever looked at another women again.”

“You are no fun,” X-plosion said in a pouting voice, as she retreated to a safe distance.

Crimson put his hand over his face, obviously embarrassed by the efforts of his comrades. “Crimmn, I think it’s about time you summon something else.”

Crimmn nodded his approval, and as the eyes on his skull staff glowed bright a new creature rose from the Earth. This time a small skeleton like wolf stood in front of Silver.

“You expect this little dog to do any better,” Silver questioned, staring at the strange creature in front of him.

The foursome did not get a chance to answer before the skeleton wolf charged towards Silver. Silver sighed, wondering if this was the best the foursome could do. With one swift blow, Silver sliced through the wolf with ease.

And that’s when it hit Silver, as Silver’s sword came in contact with a metal object inside the skeleton wolf, he was rocked back by a huge explosion. The explosion was strong enough to send Silver flying back fifteen feet back, and heavily wounded. Most of Silver’s top was now missing, replaced with bloody shrapnel filled chest. Silver left arms also lay limp by his side, probably broken from the fall. The only good news is that it wasn’t his sword arm, but silver was really in no condition to fight anymore as it was anyways.

“That was my idea,” Vertex said with a smile, “Of course you can thank the lovely X-plosion for the bomb planted inside of the skeleton.”

“Why, thank you hunnie,” X-plosion said as she kissed Vertex on the cheek.

“I think it’s time we end this,” Crimson said as he stepped forward. “I’m sure you’ll love this finishing movies. Fire Dragon!”

Crimson raised his fist in the air, producing a large crimson red fire dragon, which was twice the size of Silver Twin Dragons put together.

Silver was too wounded to move out of the way, all he could do is watch as the huge dragon bared down on him.

            “Ice-fire!”

Just as the dragon was about to engulf Silver it was intercepted by the trademark attack of his younger brother. Instantly the dragon froze, and fell to the ground, shattering into a million pieces.

“Guess who I found during my morning walk,” Sapphire said as she rushed up to Silver, “Oh you are injured, don’t worry, we take it from here.”

Sapphire was dressed in her usual sapphire blue armor, Her golden blond hair seemed to sparkle in the sunlight, but the concerned look on her face was unmistakable.

“I can’t believe you fell for such an obvious trap,” Sparow walked out of the forest, followed closely by his wife Ruby.

The two of them did not look any different from two months ago. Sparow was still dressed in his black ninja outfit, concealing all his features. Ruby still worse risky ruby red armor, he ruby red hair and fiery red eyes showed off her natural beauty that could only be matched by her beautiful sister Sapphire.

“Oh I want the mysterious one,” X-plosion said as she spotted Sparow step out the forest.

Sparow rolled his eye, “Great how do I always get stuck with your fights, Silver?”

“So who do you want sis, the necro or the nerd,” Ruby asked her sister.

Sapphire thought for a moment, “I take the necro.”

“Good, I was hoping I get the nerd,” Ruby said as she cracked her knuckles.

“Guess that means Crimson, you are mine,” Silver said as he stood up with the help of his wife.

“You should rest,” Sapphire said in a concerned voice.

“No, I’ll be fine,” silver reassured his wife.

The match ups were set, Sparow faced off against X-plosion, Ruby matched up against Vertex, Sapphire squared off against Crimmn, while Silver was left with Crimson.

“Hi there handsome,” X-plosion said as she snuggled up to Sparow. “You wouldn’t want to fight a delicate girl like me, would you?”

Sparow sighed, “You obviously don’t know me very well.”

With a swift motion Sparow drew his sword and slashed X-plosion across the chest.

“You actually attacked me, what kind of barbarian are you,” X-plosion said in a shocked voice.

“I’m just getting warmed up,” Sparow said as he wiped his blade clean, ready to strike again.

“You are crazy!” X-plosion quickly ran away from Sparow, wanted nothing to do with a real fight.

“Hello Ruby, princess of Trinity.” Vertex said as he approached Ruby, “I know everything about you, you can’t hope to win. Not with my lab coat which nullifies all your fire magic.”

“I hate you nerd types,” Ruby reared back and slugged Vertex right in the jaw, sending him tumbling to the dirt. “Always think you know everything, how annoying. Now get up so I can make you remember your school day when the bullies use to pick on you.”

“What an Amazon,” Vertex said as he got back to his feet and wiped himself clean. “I have no desire to fight a fist fight with you, I will withdraw for now.”

“Chicken!” Ruby yelled as Vertex calmly walked away.

“You don’t stand a chance against my undead,” Crimmn said calmly as he rose his staff high in the air.

Sapphire yawned.

“You dare mock me,” Crimmn said with anger as the eyes on his skull staff started to glow.

“Can you speed this up already, I’m worried about my husband,” Sapphire said as she focused her attention on Crimmn.

“I would be more concerned with your own well being.”

The ground beneath Sapphire’s feet started to shake, as the earth parted to give away to two bony hands that grabbed onto Sapphire’s ankles. The hands kept a firm grasps on Sapphire as three more skeletons slowly climbed from the dirt, sword and shields in hand.

“I can see you are shaking with fear,” Crimmn said in a sinister voice, “Maybe if you beg nicely, I make sure my skeletons give you a quick death.”

“Last time I faced you I played the damsel in distress, but this time,” A gust of wind surrounded Sapphire, “I have no time for games.”

The tornado of wind around Sapphire began to expand around her, picking up the skeletons high in the air in the process. The skeletons were quickly ripped apart inside the massive wind tornado, reducing them to nothing but bones.

“… You are right, I don’t think I should be playing with you,” Crimmn said slowly as he took a giant step backwards from the gusting tornado of wind and bones, “I’m a kind man, you should go check on your husband now.”

Crimmn turned of his hind feet and made a quick exit.

“Just lay down your sword now,” Crimson demanded, “You are in no condition to fight, and even I would feel sorry taking your life in this condition.”

“You are over confident in your abilities,” Silver said as he drew his sword with his good arm, “I am still able to beat you, even without my left arm.”

“I think you are the one who is overconfident,” Crimson said, drawing his sword, “I gave you a chance to live, but you didn’t want to take it, so be it.”

Crimson was the first to charge, a rookie mistake. Silver learned from your father you never make a head on attack against your enemy without first judging their capabilities as a fighter. Crimson was confident with Silver’s injury he was no match for the big man, he was wrong. Silver didn’t need his left arm to beat this threat, easily he sidestepped Crimson charge, and at the same time delivered a quick kick to the back of Crimson head, sending him falling to the dirt.

“Lucky blow,” Crimson dusted himself off, and charged a second time.

Silver knew Crimson, wouldn’t realized his error in thinking unless Silver made his point that he was capable of fighting still. Crimson swung his sword high, hoping to take off Silver head, instead Silver ducked and with blinding quick speed drew his own sword, and channeled all his magic into one blow, a fiery slash right across the chest. Even with Crimson’s chest armor, the shear force of the fire pushed him back a couple of feet.

“So you want to play with fire?” Crimson question as he raised his arm, producing another large fire dragon.

“Enough, its over Crimson,” the voice of Sapphire said from behind.

Silver turned around to see Sapphire, Ruby and Sparow; all having finished their opponents were closing in on Crimson.

“Since when did I become the damsel in distress?” Silver questioned.

“Don’t worry, you’ll always be my hero,” Sapphire said with a warm smile.

“You think I’m afraid of you four, I can take you all out in one blow,” Crimson said as the fire dragon above his head grew to twice its original size.

“Enough, I take it from here Crimson,” a voice said from the safety of the forest.

“Raven,” Sparow said with anger, recognizing the voice of his other half brother.

“Glad to see you haven’t forgotten me,” Raven said as he stepped out of the forest.

“You!” Ruby yelled with sudden anger, “You will pay for what you did to my husband!”

Ruby charged towards Raven, but only got half way before being knocked back with a large lightning blast from the forest edge, sending Ruby hurling towards the dirt.

A second figure stepped out of the forest and joined Raven by his sword.

“Not him again,” Silver said with regret as he stared into the face of the man he could never forget.
