I walked out to the deck and turned and locked the door.
“Hello Meghan!” I heard.
I turned around and there was Mrs. Tingle. She was nice old lady, but I didn’t really like her because she knew everyone’s business. And she would ask so many questions. She always gossiped! She would run her mouth asking questions or telling you the least news.
“Hello!” I said with a smile.
“Why did Wendy and that boy leave?” she said watering her roses. But I did like the fact that she didn’t like JC.
“Wendy is going to meet his parents today.”
“Oh, where are you going? You don’t start work for about a hour.”
“Just going to the beach,” I said with a smile.
“Oh? Why?”
“I’m sorry I got to go. Bye!”
I got in my dark green Durango. I sat down put my seat belt on and put in my Jessica Simpson CD. I pulled out of the driveway and drove to the beach. It wasn’t very long. Only two songs from the CD when I got there.
I hoped out and got my beach blanket out. The sand was so hot after I took my shoes off. I took my shirt off and laid down on my blanket. It wasn’t long till someone tripped over me.
“Ouch!” I yelled.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!”
I brushed the sand off my tan legs; “Oh it’s okay I’ll live.”
I looked up and saw the guy who tripped over me. He had: blond spiked hair, blue eyes, a beautiful smile, he was wearing blue jeans and no shirt, and the colon he was wearing was Gravity. I could tell because I love that colon.
“I’m so sorry,” He said.
“No, it’s okay.”
I stood up and he was about a foot taller then me.
“Hi I’m Nick. I don’t really trip over people like that,” he said with an embarrassed laugh.
“I’m Meghan. Oh well your number one to trip over me.”
“I’m sorry how can I make it up to you?”
Is this guy for real? I thought.
“You don’t have to,” I looked at my watch, “Oh crud!”
“What?”
“I’m late for work!”
“Great!”
“Umm…did I miss something?” I said with a confused face.
“I can give you a ride!”
“Oh!” I giggled, “ I have a car but thanks anyway! I’ll see ya around, I guess.” I grabbed my stuff.
“Bye Meghan!” Nick yelled as soon as I was in my car.
I just sat there and waved.
