Welcome to

LUNA PARK - THE PRE-DISNEY DISNEYLAND,

an archive of photos and postcards of this now long gone theme park, which was first built on Coney Island in 1903 and burned down in the 1940's. Long before Uncle Walt created Disneyland in 1955, another fantasyland was built by Frederick Thompson and Elmer "Skip" Dundy. Most of the pictures in this archive are postcards, which are usually POSTCARDS rather than photos, however, actual vintage black and white photos are also included in the PHOTOS section on page 49.
