My name is Kevin Mellott and I am 21 years old. I have graduated with Honors from High Tech Institute, a trade school in Phoenix, AZ. I currently have my Associates degree in Computer/Electronics, C.E.T. certification, Fiber Optic Certification, and my A+ Certification. I now work for a company up in Santa Rosa called Agilent Technologies.

VR is one of my weekend hobbies. I have had experience with several VR devices like: the VFX-1, Nintendo's Power glove, the Aura Interactor Vest, various shutterglasses, the CyberMaxx HMD, Union Reality's headset, and others. I have dealt with Freeware software like Rend386, Avril, and VR-386. I've had some experience with the 2morrow world builder, Virtus Walkthrough Pro, and a little 3D-Studio Max. I work with it all as much as possible.

I have surfed the web countless hours looking for everything from Power glove information to old Vr Systems that never where, like Atari's IVR system. I am going to update my page as much as possible with all the information I have ever found on any subject regarding Virtual Reality and so forth. If you ever have any questions or comments please feel free to email me. I have much more info then listed here and I am always happy to help.

Here is my Virtual Boy page.

Check out my some of my projects: The Dataglove Project , A Victormaxx Stuntmaster project and my Telepresence Project.

The VFX-1 Headset works great with any computer system. I have several games that work great. The best game is definitely Quake in 3D. To simulate the gun in Quake, I stuffed an old joystick inside of a Nintendo Light gun. Here is my Personal Review.

The Virtual I/O Glasses work well too.  The field of view and clarity are great.  I will have a review and comparison up as soon as possible.

The CyberMaxx Headset is another low end VR Helmet.  It was made by VictorMaxx, a company that is now out of Buisness.  They are available at E-bay  for a low as 65 dollars. Check out my Review.

The Power Glove from Nintendo is also an excellent low end Virtual reality device. It can be used to take movements from your hand and place them on the screen. You can grap and manipulate virtual objects. The Power glove can be found at garage sales and pawn shops for around 10 dollars.

The Rock N Ride Simulator is an awesome game simulator that I have just become aware of. It runs around 700.00 dollars and is supposed to be quite a ride. I am looking forward to getting one and trying it out.

Here is a picture of me skydiving. I am the guy in front with the blonde hair.
