A long time ago in a galaxy far
far away…
WARS
Years have passed since the death of Luke Skywalker and the
collapse of the
Pan down to reveal a tiny old freighter. Following the freighter, a massive planet is
uncovered. Coruscant, the dead husk of a
once prosperous republic is just a large metal ball devoid of life hanging
amongst the stars. We follow the vessel
as it passes silent towers standing out of a relatively smooth surface like
vigilant giants of a broken past. The
old ship flies by the old
2.
Two young Jedi are rummaging through rubble and debris looking for
something, anything left by the looters and space pirates that belonged to
their abandoned order.
Find anything; scrolls, artifacts, holocrons. Anything
we left behind in the wake of the plague.
Jaen Galek-Wan remembers
the stories of the Great Plague that led to the downfall of the Republic many
years before. He thinks of the answer,
the answer of how the Republic had also abandoned the Jedi who had protected
their feeble government for hundreds of years.
The plague that devastated Coruscant
has been deadly up until recently. Yet
we still have to wear the masks so that we don’t inhale the virus which will
kill you within one standard hour.
A brief silence pierces the
building.
Enough
stories of times past young Jedi. We
only have twenty minutes of breathable air left in our tanks before we become
infected also. Come, we must hurry.
The two resume their searching,
a search that may one day save the ancient order of peace and hope. The one ray of hope
standing alone in the night.
2A.
About
twenty minutes later there is a faint crumbling sound out on the ledge right
outside the window. Jaen
Galek-Wan walks over to the window and looks to the
roof five stories below. Stepping
through the window and avoiding the broken glass
KIO

Jaen Galek-Wan looks up to Kio Muldoen and motions for him
to stay there.
No, you stay right there.
KIO
MULDOEN
I thought you could use some help.
As
he is talking his yellow lightsaber is ignited. Using Kio as a
distraction, the Sith uses the Force to throw
3. INT. NEW
We see a man’s face. A bead
of sweat rolls off his brow. The camera
backs up to reveal not a man but a young Jedi apprentice. He raises his lightsaber
and deactivates it. The padawan is in a well-lit room. His master gets out of his chair and walks
towards the padawan. When he gets to his charge he
bends down and picks up two parts of what we now realize is a
training remote.
Remember, Talvari,
the Force is your ally. Try to feel it
flowing through you.
Does it control us, Master?
It’s part of you and will also obey
your commands. It’s like your
blood. It helps you move… Feel it within you.
Reond-Adi holds up the broken Jedi training
device, and looks at it.
I know… I know.
This is the seventh training remote
you’ve destroyed this month. The idea is
to deflect it’s blast,
and not turn it into a piece of scrap metal.
You must control your actions. (sighs and
pauses) Did you feel the Force?
I could feel it Master, but there was a darkness, a coldness there also.
That would be the dark side of the
Force. Once you start down the dark path
it will dominate your destiny, forever, so beware.
Beware of what, Master?
Fear, anger, and aggression.
They lead to the dark side.
Remember to use the Force only for knowledge and defense, never to
attack.
The Jedi Master places the broken remote on a table next to
scrolls, papers and spare lightsaber parts.
That’s enough for now. Quiet your mind, Talvari.
Talvari sits on the cold floor and closes his
eyes. He slowly exhales and falls into
peace, meditating.
4. INT. NEW
A Jedi Knight rushes through the hallways of the
Is Master Reond-Adi
here?
No.
He’s in the training room with his apprentice.
The messenger continues on running at full speed down the
hallway. The other Jedi goes back into
the room and the door slides shut.
5. INT. NEW
The Jedi messenger rushes into the training room out of breath and
exhausted. Talvari
is still sitting and he doesn’t break his meditative state. The Jedi hands Reond-Adi
a small, hand-held device. Both the Jedi
messenger and the Jedi Master stand and slightly bow to each other as a
show of respect and intelligence. The
messenger turns and walks out the door.
As he is leaving Reond-Adi turns away from the
door and activates the device. He reads
the message upon the screen and shuts off the device. Talvari opens his
eyes.
Talvari
stands up and walks to his master’s side.
Why does the Jedi Council want more
information of the Sith, there are very few left,
right.
We shall see, padawan. But as long
as there is light there will always be dark.
6. INT. DARK ROOM (UNKNOWN)
A black figure stands in a dark grey room. The figure stands before a black circular
stand. The stand has no buttons or
markings. (smooth)
He stands patiently, as the stand’s top begins to light up the black
figure takes a more demanding pose. A
hologram of a dark robed man appears.
The man is revealed to be Darth Thymar, the
Dark Lord of the Sith.
Go to Messu,
Darth Ziost.
The Jedi will look for the information there to destroy us. Don’t let them get that information, my
apprentice.
Darth Ziost bows his head towards his
master.
I am choosing you to carry out this
mission because I know of your strength.
(pauses)
You are strong enough to pull the ears off a gundark. (smiles)
I know Master. I pulled off it’s
head.
The image of the Dark Lord flickers and disappears. Darth Ziost turns
to us to leave. We see his face is
masked by a gundark skull.
A crusier flies by. It is the Jedi ship, Chimera, carrying Master Reond-Adi and
his apprentice Talvari. We follow the starship until a blue and green
planet is revealed. It is Messu, a planet covered with lush forests.
8.
The Chimera lands in a
small clearing in the forest. It lands a
short distance from an ancient Sith Temple.
The temple is in ruin. Two, brown
robed figures emerge from the ship and walk towards the temple.
9. EXT. ANCIENT SITH
The two Jedi stop in front of the temple and stare up at the
doors. There are two statues on each
side of the doorway.
Reond-Adi’s hand rests on his
apprentice’s shoulder.
Yes…
I can feel it also. A tremor in the Force.
Reond-Adi looks up at the front of the
temple. He walks up the stairs and
towards the door. He feels the door with
his hand for a minute then turns around.
REOND-ADI
The door is sealed shut, and is made of Cortosis, a metal which we cannot cut through with our lightsabers. We will
have to find another way in.
He realizes that Talvari has been
staring at the roof of the temple the whole time he has been talking.
REOND-ADI
Talvari! (slightly
sharp gaining his attention)
Talvari snaps to reality.
REOND-ADI
What do you feel, Padawan?
TALVARI
Something dark… (he
looks back up) Almost…
(pauses) mystical.
From up there.
Talvari out stretched his arm, pointing to the
roof. Reond-Adi
looks up then uses the Force to propel himself towards a ledge hanging over the
roof.
10. EXT. SITH
Reond-Adi lands on the roof steps forward,
surveys the area then waits for his apprentice to join him. Talvari lands on
the roof behind his master in a clumsy fashion showing his inexperience in
using the Force. The two Jedi walk
forward a couple of feet among the rubble of the ancient, weatherworn temple.
REOND-ADI
Wait here.
Talvari stops in his tracks and watches his
master slowly navigate the crumbling ruins.
The Jedi Master pulls out his lightsaber
handle and continues towards a group of toppled stones, gripping his weapon
tightly. The temple ruins seem to watch
the slow-moving Jedi. What Reond-Adi or Talvari don’t know
is that not the temple is watching them but a figure in the ruins above.
A Sith warrior, Darth Ziost, dressed in
black, leaps down from the group of toppled stones, the red blade of his lightsaber blazing a humming song. With reflexes trained through years of
battle, Reond-Adi ignites his lightsaber. The yellow blade leaps from the handle. The two blades clash together with a loud
crack. The Jedi Master knocks Darth Ziost back using his strong Force powers and leaps away
searching to gain a better footing. The
two rush at each other again and battle, blades crashing together for short
moments, battling their way towards a tall wall. Massive pillars stand in front of the wall,
supporting a higher landing. A giant
statue of a once-great Sith Lord watches the battle from above, on top of the
pillars. Reond-Adi
quickly fatigues, sweating profusely, too old for combat.
Talvari stands alone, obeying his master’s
order to do so. He watches the battle
intently, his eyes blazing with the want to run to his master’s side and fight.
The blades crash once more.
Reond-Adi thrusts hard against Ziost’s blade, throwing Ziost
back and with a swift move. Reond-Adi quickly diffuses his lightsaber
and stands in mid-battle, closing his eyes serenely, calming his body. Seeing the Jedi Master as no immediate
threat, Ziost pauses for a short moment, slightly
confused. He then sends a final stabbing
blow into Reond-Adi’s chest. The wise Jedi’s robes fall to the ground as his
body becomes one with the Force. The
handle of the lost Jedi’s weapon clatters on the ground next to his robes.
TALVARI
NOOOO!!!!!
Darth Ziost turns his menacing face,
masked behind a gundark skull, to Talvari. Charging towards the Sith, Talvari activates his blue blade and crashes it down upon
Darth Ziost’s red blade held above his head with a
terrible crack. The two opposing blades
crash together again and again, although neither the Sith
nor Jedi can gain much ground. Darth Ziost swings a heavy blow, disarming the young Jedi
apprentice. Darth Ziost
kicks Talvari in the chest.
Talvari falls back hard against the crumbling
stone. The Sith
holds his red blade inches from Talvari's face. Although his face is
hidden. The wanton Sith taunts the fallen
Jedi. Talvari
stares at the red blade, frightened. He
pulls himself away with his elbows but Darth Ziost
just extends his arm to regain the lost distance. Talvari's face
tightens in anger and he bears his teeth.
Tapping into the dark side of the Force he activates his lost lightsaber and uses the power to throw the weapon at the
emissary of evil. Darth Ziost jumps back, but throws his arms in the air at the
same time. The blade misses Ziost's head but chops off his left hand. He quickly deactivates his lightsaber and clips it to his belt. He then turns around and begins running
towards the edge of the temple roof.
When he gets to the edge of the roof he launches himself off and disappears
into the trees. Talvari
looks up and sighs.
Pulling his lightsaber to his hand, Talvari attaches it to his belt and runs to his master's
robes. He lifts the brown clothes and
the fallen Jedi's lightsaber and stares off, after
the Sith warrior.
11.
Talvari walks up to the entrance of a
cave. There is a carving in the stone
above the doorway. Talvari
lifts his glowrod up to see the glyph. He then looks behind him and both ways and
enters the darkened cave.
12.
Darkness engulfs Talvari as he continues
farther into the cave. Had it not been
for the glowrod he would have stumbled on the cave
floor and gotten injured because it was so dark. He begins hearing windy, wispy noises from
deeper inside the cave. The young padawan continues down the black passageways. He comes to the end of a tunnel and finds a
larger room, a cavern. He enters the
large cavern and looks around, the room is unnaturally lit. At the back of the room two statues of Sith
Lords guard an artifact on a stand. Talvari walks closer noticing that the artifact is a small
pyramid. The pyramid is small and red
with black carvings placed on it. The
artifact is about palm-size and lit from within, sending dirty, red rays of
light across the room in all directions.
TALVARI
(with a sense of
wonder) This is it! A Sith Holocron!
He takes a few steps closer to examine the palm-size pyramid. He stares at it in wonder and amazement. Talvari kneels
in front of the Holocron. He scoops up
the Holocron <DELETED SCENE? Fight with Sith statues> in his hands and
runs out of the cave
REOND-ADI (ghostly voice)
Once you start down the dark
path, it will dominate your destiny.
13. INT. DARK ROOM
Darth Ziost sits hunched over a table. His back to
us, and his gundark mask on the table next to him. His hood is pulled up, over his head. With his right hand (and only hand), he holds
an electric tool. The tool buzzes and
suddenly a spark flies. Ziost stands up
quickly from pain and anger, and curses.
DARTH ZIOST
Shirak!
He sits back down and continues working. He grabs another tool and snaps it into his
new hand. He then holds his new robotic
hand up, moves the fingers and then pulls a glove over it. He puts his mask on and flips a switch on a veiwscreen that had a blinking light under it. The Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Thymar, appears on the screen.
DARTH ZIOST
The Jedi Master Reond-Adi
has been destroyed. It is only a matter
of time before his apprentice the Jedi that took my hand will suffer the same
fate.
DARTH THYMAR (veiwscreen)
This does not surprise me, Darth Ziost. You must not
let the Jedi descover the secrets of the Sith Order.
DARTH ZIOST
Yes, my master.
The veiwscreen goes black and Ziost flips the switch.
14.
Talvari is walking through the forest. He stares down at the Holocron
that he holds in his hands.
TALVARI
This is much like the Jedi Holocrons
back at the temple on Dagobah. They hold
information recorded by other Jedi, maybe this works the same way. (talking softly to himself)
Talvari sits down on the forest floor and puts
the Holocron on the ground in front of him. He sits there for a while, focusing his Force
powers. The Holocron
begins to glow red as Talvari taps into the dark side
of the Force, and mist-like fog begins to roll out. He lifts the Holocron
and looks at it, but not only at it, into it, and beyond it. Red light shining on his face, the fog begins
pouring out of his hands and an evil grin crosses his face.
15. INT. JEDI TRAINIING ROOM (DAGOBAH)
Jedi Master Ja-Gon Myrik
and a small group of students are in a training room practicing meditation
studies. Master Ja-Gon
Myrik stops and grabs his head. The students discontinue their meditating and
gather around their wise master.
STUDENT 1
What is it Master Myrik?
JA-GON MYRIK
I feel a tremor in the Force.
STUDENT 1
I can sense it too Master. Something doesn’t feel right.
A Jedi Knight, Jaen Galek-Wan,
enters the training room and stands there.
An aide rushes up.
Master Ja-Gon Myrik?
The aide points in the direction of the wise Jedi Master. Ja-Gon Myrik looks up and notices Jaen Galek-Wan walking towards him. He motions for his students to go back to
their meditation, and walks over to Jaen Galek-Wan.
JA-GON MYRIK
Yes,
We haven’t heard from Master Reond-Adi or Talvari in the past
two days. They were supposed to report
in the other night, but they didn’t.
JA-GON MYRIK
Was their ship destroyed?
No, the ship’s beacon is still functioning. The signal’s coming from Messu.
JA-GON MYRIK
Do you feel a tremor in the Force, also?
Yes, I felt it a moment ago.
JA-GON MYRIK
So did I. Hmmm... Perhaps we
should send more Jedi to investigate the disappearance.
May I go Master?
JA-GON MYRIK
I will have to address the Jedi Council for a
final decision on this matter. I shall
present you and another student to go.
16.
Jaen Galek-Wan is pacing
outside the door to the Jedi Council chamber waiting for the Council meeting
about the current matter to conclude.
The door opens as Master Ja-Gon Myrik steps out. Jaen Galek-Wan turns quickly and stands next to the wise
master.
JA-GON MYRIK
What is your reason for your anxiousness in
this matter?
Talvari and I are good
friends. I want to make sure he is
alright.
JA-GON MYRIK
Your reason for taking this mission is a
personal one. It may cloud your judgement.
My friendship with Talvari
will not cloud my judgement in this matter.
JA-GON MYRIK
Are you certain?
Yes.
JA-GON MYRIK
We shall send you... and one other Jedi. Sadamiri.
Sadamiri? (not recognizing the
name)
JA-GON MYRIK
Yes.
She is young, but strong in the ways of the Force.
Jaen Galek-Wan
nods.
JA-GON MYRIK
May the Force be with you.
And with you, Master.
17. SPACE
The Jedi cruiser, Vigilante Eight, carrying Jaen Galek-Wan and Sadamiri flies away
from us, towards Messu.
18. INT. VIGILANTE EIGHT – COCKPIT (SPACE)
Red, green, and yellow lights flicker on multiple control
panels. Jaen Galek-Wan pilots the cruiser. Through the cockpit window, we see the
beautiful green planet of Messu getting closer and
closer. A small screen on a control
panel flickers on with a slight wave of
We have picked up the signal from Reond-Adi’s ship and will be landing near it shortly.
JA-GON MYRIK (veiwscreen)
Very well, young Jedi, but be careful. I sense dark forces at work there. May the Force be with you both.
Jaen Galek-Wan waves his
hand over the monitor again and it switches off. He then focuses back on his piloting towards
the planet. He flips a switch and a
heads up display of the approach vector appears before him. Sadamiri looks over
at him then back towards the nearing planet.
19.
The Vigilante Eight
lands in an open clearing in the forest.
Jaen Galek-Wan and Sadamiri walk off the Vigilante
Eight. Sadamiri
starts to walk off but stops when she notices
20. INT. CHIMERA – COCKPIT (MESSU)
Talvari is eating off a plate and drinking a
blue liquid when a faint beeping is heard.
He puts his drink down and flips a switch on the veiwscreen. He watches as the Vigilante Eight lands in a field.
He looks at another monitor to see where the ship is relative to
his. He flips a switches
to both monitors to deactivate them and rushes out the ship.
21. EXT. OPEN FIELD – NIGHT (MESSU)
Darth Ziost stands high on the field,
peering through a set of macrobinoculars, pointed
towards the forest. (Ziost
is on a hill) Darth Ziost
suddenly twirls around, red lightsaber ignited. Talvari approaches
him, holding out his hands, showing he is unarmed.
TALVARI
I want to learn the ways of dark side and
become a Sith warrior.
(pauses)
Can you teach me?
A brief silence pierces the air.
DARTH ZIOST
(caught off
guard) Yes...
Ziost slowly diffuses his lightsaber, looking at Talvari
awkwardly.
22.
The darkness of night surrounds the training warriors. Ziost stands aside,
watching Talvari dodge the trees as he runs. He jumps and flips, ducks and rolls.
DARTH ZIOST
There is no pain where strength lies. You must be prepared to lose your own life in
order to win.
Talvari stops and looks at Ziost
TALVARI
I am prepared.
Darth Ziost looks at him curiously. Talvari stops and
stands tall before his new master.
TALVARI
I am prepared.
(more confident)
23. EXT. FIELD – NIGHT (MESSU)
The same field where Talvari came up to
Darth Ziost to begin training is now occupied by
Darth Ziost and Talvari.
DARTH ZIOST
Anger is a living thing. Feed it and it will grow.
Ziost lashes out his foot, knocking down the
turned Jedi. Ziost
twirls his lightsaber around in the air and points it
straight at Talvari’s face.
DARTH ZIOST
(speaking through
clenched teeth) I should kill you for
failing. A Sith warrior cannot fail in
battle.
At this, Talvari rolls aside, thrashing
out his leg, tripping Ziost and sending him falling
to the ground. Talvari
leaps up to his feet and drives his lightsaber into
the ground right next to Ziost’s head. Ziost quickly turns
to see the lightsaber inches from his head. He looks back up at Talvari
and stands up, brushing himself off, and laughing.
DARTH ZIOST
Good... Go-od...
TALVARI
Another ship has landed, Darth Ziost.
DARTH ZIOST
I know.
TALVARI
The Jedi High Council has sent someone to look
for me. I can sense it.
DARTH ZIOST
Let them come.
Then you can show them your new allegiance. You must destroy them.
24. EXT. TALVARI’S CAMP – NIGHT (MESSU)
Talvari’s encampment, just outside Reond-Adi’s starship is being investigated by Jaen Galek-Wan and Sadamiri. Sadamiri is crouched over the fire pit when
He’s not in the crusier,
but there’s an unfinished meal sitting in the cockpit.
Sadamiri touches the fire pit.
SADAMIRI
He hasn’t been here for a while. The fire pit’s cold.
She stands, wiping her hands together, soot falls from them, and
looks over to Jaen Galek-Wan.
We must
find him. I sense something very dark
near... almost, (pauses) cold.
25.
Jaen Galek-Wan and Sadamiri walk through the forest pf Messu
searching for their lost friend. They
stop and look ahead, seeing Darth Ziost ahead of
them. Jaen Galek-Wan, feeling a distrubance
in the Force, turns around and at Talvari glaring at
them.
Talvari, where have you been?
TALVARI
Studying the Sith
ways.
You mean your mission to search for Sith artifacts?
TALVARI
No, not my mission. I realized something on my mission.
(almost afraid to ask) And what was that?
TALVARI
The
Sith
order has more to offer me. The Jedi can
be so boring. Saving and protecting
everyone that hates and fears us. It no
longer means anything to me.
(surprised) You’ve joined the dark side?
Talvari smiles evilly. He then pulls out his lightsaber,
ignites it, and changes his stance for battle.
You traitor.
This being said, Darth Ziost charges Sadamiri, lightsaber drawn and
humming wildly. Sadamiri
pulls out her lightsaber and activates the yellow
blade. Ziost
swings high and lowers his blade upon Sadamiri’s with
a loud crack. Jaen
Galek-Wan ignites his lightsaber,
and the emerald blade hums to life. Talvari brings his lightsaber up
and down on his old friend’s weapon. The
two push their blades together and come face to face.
Once you start down the dark path you cannot
turn back.
TALVARI
It’s great over here, old friend. It’s wild, almost uncontrollable.
Like a savage beast.
TALVARI
Not savage, untamed. Come one... Join me.
Jaen Galek-Wan pushes on
his lightsaber and throws the turned Jedi
backwards. He raises his lightsaber above his head and rushes towards Talvari.
(yells) NEVER!!!
Sadamiri and Darth Ziost
continue their little battle. The Jedi
swings upwards but the Sith blocks the attempt. Sadamiri backs up
two steps to rest but Ziost advances full of
life. She drops to the ground and kicks
out, hitting the Sith in the leg and knocking him
back. Sadamiri
stands up and points her lightsaber at Ziost’s chest, his weapon only a few feet away.
SADAMIRI
Stop!
Sadamiri remains positioned with her lightsaber close to Darth Ziost’s
chest.
Talvari and Jaen Galek-Wan continue to battle. Their lightsabers
clash and clash again. With a swift
motion, Talvari jabs his blue blade into Jaen Galek-Wan’s lower side. The Jedi winces, grips his wound, and falls
to the ground, barely conscious. He
drops his weapon, which deactivates.
Fine. Your treachery is complete. You can’t turn back… You’ll never win.
Talvari deactivates his lightsaber
and steps back, realizing what he had done.
His face reflects his shock and horror.
Jaen Galek-Wan is laying motionless on the ground, half-delirious, and dying.
Darth Ziost jumps up, lightsaber jumping to his hand, and grabs Sadamiri’s arm making her drop her lightsaber,
which deactivates. The evil Sith puts the younger Jedi in a headlock with his blade to
her neck. Talvari
turns to Ziost and Sadamiri
in horror. He raises his arm towards Ziost.
TALVARI
Leave her Ziost. Let me finish her.
Darth Ziost pushes Sadamiri
towards Talvari and steps back, she falls to the
ground no longer supported by the Sith. He deactivates his blade and stands with his
arms crossed. Talvari
activates his blade and walks towards Sadamiri. He whirls around quickly and kicks Ziost in the chest.
He raises his arms and launches him down the hill with a short burst of
Force power. Talvari
looks down the hill but sees nothing.
Talvari leans over and helps Sadamiri to her feet.
They both walk over to Jaen Galek-Wan. Talvari bends down next to the dying Jedi.
Go ahead.
Kill me, Talvari. Once you start down the dark path, there’s no
turning back.
TALVARI
No. You
can turn back. I’ll make everything
right again.
Talvari stands up and looks at Sadamiri, who is rubbing her injured neck.
TALVARI
Take him back to your ship. Help him… I’m going to fix this. I’ll be there shortly.
26. EXT. FIELD – DAYBREAK (MESSU)
Darth Ziost is standing out in an open
field, again, looking through a set of macrobinoculars. Talvari approaches
Darth Ziost from behind. Ziost turns as Talvari ignites his blue lightsaber, Ziost also ignites the red blade on his weapon and walks
towards the reformed Jedi. Talvari holds his lightsaber outstrtched behind him and runs towards the Sith. When he gets
within a few feet off himhe jumps into the air and
swings the blade forward and drops it towards Ziost’s
head. The dark Jedi throws his blade up
horizontally and deflects the swing. Ziost pushes the blades up and throws Talvari
back. Talvari’s
lightsaber deactivates and he drops the handle. Darth Ziost throws
out his leg and knocks down the young Jedi, and points his crimson blade at the
padawan’s necks.
DARTH ZIOST
You are beaten and will be destroyed.
TALVARI
No. Not
yet.
Talvari’s lightsaber
jumps to his hand and he hits Darth Ziost’slightsaber
away and jumps to his feet. Their lightsabers clash back and forth, moving in all
directions. Talvari
finally finds and opening and knocks Darth Ziost’s lightsaber out of his hand and knocks Ziost
to the ground. Darth Ziost
rolls to his lost weapon and jumps up, weapon in hand, blade extended. The Sith warrior
rushes Talvari right as he jumps aside. Ziost starts
falling forward and Talvari twirls around and lunges
his blade in Ziost’s back. As Darth Ziost hits
the ground, Talvari pulls his lightsaber
out of the Sith’s back. (Darth Ziost rolls
over to his back.)
Talvari stands over the dead Sith for a while looking straight at the gundark’s
skull then deactivates his lightsaber and slowly
walks off camera.
27.
Talvari makes his way through the forest to
the Vigilante Eight. His lightsaber
hangs from his belt, his face serene and calm.
28. INT. VIGILANT EIGHT –
Jaen Galek-Wan lays
unmoving on a cot in the starship’s cargo hold.
Talvari makes his way through the ship to the
hold to see his friend’s progress. The
injured Jedi moves slightly to see Talvari
approach. The reformed Jedi kneels by
his friend.
TALVARI
Don’t move.
You’ll only slow the healing process.
(wincing) What
happened?
TALVARI
(head bows) I… (pauses) won.
Sadamiri stands in the passageway between the
main hold and the cockpit. She turns and
returns to the cockpit.
29. INT. VIGILANTE EIGHT – COCKPIT (MESSU)
Talvari walks into the cockpit. Sadamiri looks up
from her final checks and forces a smile.
TALVARI
Ready to go?
SADAMIRI
Yes, anytime.
Is everything set out back?
TALVARI
Yes, let’s go.
Talvari and Sadamiri
climb into their seats.
30.
The Vigilant Eight’s thrusters fire to life and the ship lifts off into the
sky. The ship blasts out of the
atmosphere and into infinity.
31. INT. SITH COUNCIL CHAMBER (UNKNOWN)
A five-sided table, with a chair at each side, is placed in the
middle of a large, dark room. Guards
stand posted at the doors. Darth Thymar, wearing a long, black cloak stands at his chair
facing the council.
DARTH THYMAR
The Jedi have killed my apprentice, Darth Ziost.
The chamber erupts into soft murmuring and low muttering.
DARTH RECHLIN
You must choose another apprentice, Master Thymar.
SHYBON DOONHUR
Yes, Master Thymar,
Darth Rechlin is correct. You must choose. So says the code.
DARTH THYMAR
I know the code. A few promising dark Jedi have been brought
to my attention Shybon. I shall look into their potential.
32. EXT. NEW
The cruiser carrying Talvari,
JA-GON MYRIK
Sadamiri…
SADAMIRI
Yes, Master Ja-Gon Myrik?
JA-GON MYRIK
The Council would like to see you now about
your journey. I will be in shortly.
Sadamiri walks off into the temple. Talvari starts to
follow but the Jedi Master outstretches his hand to stop him. The two turn to face each other.
TALVARI
Yes, Master?
JA-GON MYRIK
You and I need to work on some things. Then, you and Sadamiri
will be sent to finish your training with the great Jedi Master Shinji Vaar off world.
Talvari starts to turn and leave but Ja-Gon Myrik stops him once
again.
JA-GON MYRIK
Talvari… (pauses)
You have seen the dark side. What is it
like?
Talvari winces as if someone has just poked a gaffi stick in an open wound.
TALVARI
Wild. (pauses)
It’s like an untamed beast within your heart.
Uncontrollable power, Master. It starts to consume you. It’s horrible.
JA-GON MYRIK
We need you Talvari. We need you to help unlock the mysteries of
the Sith. There
is a battle coming, a battle to remember and a battle to have nightmares
about. A fire that
will sweep the galaxy. We have to
be prepared.
TALVARI
I understand, Master.
JA-GON MYRIK
Now I need you to recite the four points of
the Jedi Code.
TALVARI
But Master, I’m free of the Dark Side. I-
JA-GON MYRIK
(nods) I know, I
know. Please. (outstretches hand
to urge on)
TALVARI
There is no emotion; there is peace. There is no ignorance; there is
knowledge. There is no passion; there is
serenity. There is no death… (pauses) there is the Force.
JA-GON MYRIK
(smiles) Welcome back.
The young Jedi stands there staring ahead. Master Ja-Gon Myrik steps forward and pats Talvari
on the shoulder and walks off into the temple.
Talvari finds himself standing alone but it
does not matter, he is at peace.
33. EXT. LANDING PLATFORM – NIGHT (???)
A stone slab serves as the landing platform for an ancient Jedi
temple. A man, dressed in a long, brown
robe stands watching the ship land. The
door opens and Sadamiri followed by Talvari step out.
They carry various duffel bags containing their belongings. The two Jedi approach the man. He walks forward also. The man waves his arm at the ship’s pilot and
the craft takes off. Talvari
closes his eyes and concentrates.
TALVARI
You are not Shinji Vaar.
GEEROC
No, my name is Geeroc. You two are Talvari
and Sadamiri, the two young Jedi from Dagobah.
SADAMIRI
Yes, we are.
GEEROC
Come follow me.
Geeroc and the two young Jedi walk off
towards the temple with their belongings.
34.
Geeroc leads the Jedi through the great
temple. The hallways look just like the
ones in the temple on Dagobah only older and darker. He leads them into a large room with a man
meditating on a large platform. The man
awakens and looks over to the new arrivals.
SHINJI VAAR
Ah… You must be Talvari
and Sadamiri. (smiles)
Yes. I have heard much about you. You were sent here by Master Myrik to finish your studies.
SADAMIRI
Thank you, Master Vaar. We won’t disappoint you.
Master Vaar smiles
and Geeroc leads Sadamiri
and Talvari away.
