Spaniards Are In

The cloth reproductions of the older Spanish badges reported on last month are now in. Let me know if you'd like some.
Submarine Profile Pins

Todd's Tugs has been selling these on ebay. Todd has 5 different profiles available as shown. They are relatively inexpensive and nicely done.

Austrian U Boat Veteran's Badge

I have seen these on ebay from time to time and just got one from a guy overseas. It is from a 1982 reunion.

Requin Badge

The French submarine Requin, commissioned in the 1950's issued this unique looking unit badge at some point in it's lifetime.

French Lapel Pin

I saw this one and grabbed the jpg from the source for viewing here.

Spanish SPN-2

These appear from time to time and always look new. Probably because they are. But the dies have been around for awhile. Nicely struck and well detailed.

New Bulgarian Sub Badge

I don't have one of these yet, but 2 of them made their way into the US via Turkey. I have confirmed their veracity and am trying to find mulitple sources for them.

French Sub "Centaur"

There are a number of therse 1930's vintage French enamelled unit badges around. Saw this for sale at way too high a price, but the picture was free.

Silver Spanish Sweetheart Badge

I was in on the bidding for this one, but it went up beyond what I wanted to pay for a sweetheart pin. Done in sterling, it has a few years of tarnish on it.

Small Battle Unit Patches

These two recently went on ebay.

Disney Sub Badge

A Disney submarine ride badge. They also come in cloth and there are faked versions around, too. There is also another sub badge around from the Disney movie for the Nautilus. They are usually cast in resin/plastic.

AH Badge

I saw this huge and very expensive auction of WWI era German stuff. Included was a nice AH badge.

Glorieux French Sub Badge

A Another of the enamelled French badges that someone wanted way too much money for it that I saw for sale.

Japanese Medical Sub Badge

Here is a little better scan than last month.

Polish Sub Badges

Orzel (therir Kilo) and Sep (the first of their Norewwgian imports).

Fake Bullion Indian Sub Badge

These have no veracity of any sort. I picked one up to add to the hall of shame. I stop before buying stuff like the garbage coming out of Poland today (saw a gold Turk with a Greek sub on it made in some Polish basement that was on ebay recently. Spare me. This was cheap and well made at least.

WWII Era Deepwaves

I think there is no prettier badge than a gold deepwave US badge from WWII. Picked up a mess dress and sweetheart HH badges recently.

Silver Turkish Sub Badge

I got a silver Turkish badge from a new Russian friend of mine. Not sure why it exists but it was inexpensive and cool looking. According to my Turkish sources, it is fake. Another Hall of Shame item.
