Britney Fanfic
Britney and her mom sat at the table waiting for Innosense and their manager, Lynn.
"Are you ok, Britney?" Lynne said as she watched her daughter's hands sweat.
"I'm ok. I'm just very nervous! I hope I don't do anything embarrassing!" Britney said as she rubbed her hands together.
Lynne chuckled, "That's what your thinking about at a time like this?! I worry about you sometimes, Britney!"
Britney looked up at her mom and smiled, "I'm sorry... I just want this to go well."
Britney and her mom sat at the table waiting. They both just twiddled(spelling?) their thumbs and waited. After 10 minutes of waiting they finally came.
"Sorry about making you wait. When we were ready to leave our manager suddenly couldn't come with us and, I don't know, everything just got mixed up. So how's it going?" Danay said as she and the rest of the girls sat down.
"It's ok. I'm happy you are finally here. Umm... so what are your names?"
"Oh you don't know who we are?..." Danay asked confused.
"I'm sorry, I haven't exactly been paying attention to the new artists. I've just been focusing on what I need to do for my career in the music industry."
"Oh It's ok... I'm Nikki and this is Danay and Mandy." Nikki pointed to each one as she said their name and smiled.
"Nice to meet you all. I'm Britney.
They all got to know each other and started business. "First of all, why do want to be a singer?" Nikki asked as she took out a binder and pen.
Britney watched her get ready to jot down whatever she was about to say. "Well, it all started when I was a little girl. I would sing to the radio and my mom noticed that I could 'carry a tune'. Also, when I was on the MMC show. We did a lot of singing, and being up on stage gave me such a rush. I loved being up there with people dancing to my music and cheering for me!"
"Oh that is so cool!" Jenny added.
"Great!" Nikki paused to write down her last words and moved on, "Why would you want to join our group, Innosence?"
Britney looked at her mom. They exchanged looks and Brintey went on, "Well..." Britney paused for a few seconds. "Well, first I just want to sing! And also being in a group would probably make me feel more confident on the stage."
"Ok..." Nikki said with disagreement. She didn't like Britney's answer very much, but she did think Britney could be a good asset to the group. "Ok Britney, could you sing somethine for us?"
"Is there anything you would like me to sing?" Britney said nervously. She was scared her voice might crack and she would totally blow it.
"Could you sing what you sang on your demo tape?" Danay asked.
"Sure!" Britney said relieved. She couldn't mess up with this song. "Actually I had a feeling that would be the song I would sing for you guys, so I brought a copy of the tape and a radio."
"Oh good idea!" Mandy said excitedly. She thought Britney was so cute and really liked her.
Britney popped the tape in the stereo and pressed play. She cleared her throat and took a sip of water; pressed play and began to sing, "Oh oh, Uh here we go now, oh...."
After Britney finished singing, everyone clapped for her and totally loved it! They were even jammin' while she was singing. "Will you guys sing for me now?" Britney asked.
"Uh oh! She popped the question!" Mandy excitedly said to the rest of the group, "But we would love to!"
Innosence sang their little melody and then it was time to go. They stood up said their goodbye's. The three girls walked away and climbed into their limo. As they drove off Britney and Lynne sat back down.
"That went well, didn't it?" Lynne said as she pulled her fly-away hairs off of her shirt. "The girls are very nice and I think you would do really well in the group. You will love working with them! And you'll get to see Lynn Timberlake!"
Britney nodded her head.
"What are you thinking, Brit?" Lynne asked looking at her daughters face.
"I think the girls are all very nice and I really like them a lot. The whole meeting went great! They are sooo cool and they don't seem like people that I would hate being with 24/7, but..... I still really wanna go solo, but I think I might give the group a try.
"Baby, whatever you do is fine with me and the rest of the family!" Lynne kissed Britney on the forehead and started to walk towards the car, "C'mon, let's go home."
Britney brushed off her pants and followed her mom. They hopped into the car and Lynne started it. For the rest of the ride Britney and Lynne didn't talk. The only noise in the car was the radio.
Britney stepped out of the car and went straight into the house, not even waiting for her mom.
"How did it go, Brit?" Jamie asked as he watched Britney speed by him.
"Fine! Yup! Uh huh!" Britney had no time to waste for she wanted to get upstairs and make sure none of her thoughts escaped her. She scurried up the stairs and went straight to her desk. She pulled her diary out of her special spot and opened it up. Pulling a pen out of the top drawer of the desk, she began to write...

*Next Morning*
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
Britney ignored her alarm and put a pillow over her head to drown out the sound.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
"AAAAHHHH!!" Britney yelled in annoyance. She sat up and turned her alarm off. She stretched her arms and tore the covers off of her legs. As she stepped off the bed she slipped her feet into her slippers and threw a robe on.
"Britney are you awake?" Lynne yelled from the kitchen.
Britney opened her door, "Yea, Mom!"
"Ok then come down here. Breakfast is ready."
She ran down the stairs and went straight to the kitchen. "MMMmmmm smells good! What is it?"
Lynne chuckled and set a bowl down for Britney and Jamie Lynn. "Apple Jacks, Britney!"
Britney looked up at her mom and laughed, "Oops! I knew that. I was just testing you, Mom. Making sure you're fully awake!"
"Right, Brit!" Lynne said raising her eye brows. "Jamie Lynn! Jamie Lynn, you awake?!" Lynne waited for an answer, but didn't get one. "Honey, will wake up your sister and tell her to come down before her cereal gets soggy?"
"Gladly, Mother!"
"Why thank you, Daughter!"
Britney and Lynne shared a couple laughs before Britney went upstairs to retrieve her little sister. She turned around and went up the stairs. She opened her sister's door and creeped inside.
"WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" Britney yelled as she jumped up and down on the pink and white lacy bed. All of Jamie Lynn's stuffed animals were flying all over the place.
Jamie Lynn gave out a shreek. "What are you doing, you stupid-head!" She knocked Britney off the bed and pulled her covers over her head.
Britney stood up and dusted herself off. "Mom wants you downstairs before your cereal gets soggy. Go!" Britney tore off the covers off of her sister and yanked her out of bed. She flipped Jamie Lynn over her shoulders and carried her upside down down the stairs.
"Put me down! Put me down! OK! OK!" Jamie Lynn squirmed and squirmed and finally found her way out of her sister's arms.
"Britney! What are you doing to your sister?! Stop it!" Britney could hear her mom yell from around the corner.
"Yea yea, Mom! She's fine!" Britney yelled back to her mom. She made her way down the rest of the stairs and around the corner into the kitchen. "How's the cereal, Squirt?" Britney said as she looked into her little sister's bowl.
"It's fine! A l'il soggy..... but good!" Jamie Lynn said trying to be cool for her sister.
"Right, Jamie Lynn." Britney jokingly squeezed Jamie Lynn's cheecks and walked to the family room. She flipped on the T.V. and started to surf through the channels.
RING RING RING!!!
The second Britney heard the phone ring she dove for it.
"Hi Britney!"
Britney knew exactly who it was, "Oh my gosh, Hi!"
"So have you decided if you would like to join Innosence?"
Britney paused for a moment, "Yes I have decided. And I decided that.... that I'm gonna join! I wanna do it!
"Great, Britney! Good choice! You're gonna have a great time with us."
"I'm sure I will! Thank you very much for giving me a chance to be in your group."
"No problem, Brit! Listen, I've gotta go. The rest of the girls and I will talk to you later. Have a nice day! Bye!"
"You too! Bye now!" They both hang up the phone and Britney walked into the living room where the rest of the family was talking. She stood in front of them and stared.
"What is it Britney?" Bryan asked as her turned away from his conversation with Jamie Lynne.
Britney walked over to the sofa chair and sat down. "That was Lynn! She called to ask me if I had made my desicion about the group..."
"What did you tell her?" Lynne asked, curious to hear her answer.
"Weell.....I told her I would join! I told her I'm gonna join!"
"Oh, that's great, Hunny!" Lynne got up and gave her daughter a hug.
