Asperger Syndrome

I have compiled a list of asperger symptoms and related conditions. Most are from personal experience and research. They are not in any particular order. These were not discovered thru any scientific process so do take them with a grain of salt. Not everyone has ALL symptoms. I am sometimes on the starlink-irc network in the #asperger channel with the nick knutella.

• Lack of Peer Relationships
• Likes routine, doing same thing over and over.
• Fear of new places or situations.
• Odd speech patterns
• Literal thinking - unable to understand jokes
• Poor Executive function of the brain similar to amygdala damage (low impulse control, etc)
• Anxiety in social situations
• Sensitivity to light, touch, sound, smells etc
• Lining up toys as a child but not playing with them
• Unusual walking gait - Clumsiness
• Trouble sleeping
• High IQ
• Savant skills like calender calculating, photographic memory
• Collecting things
• Odd face gaze
• Vivid Dreams

• Sensory Integration Dysfunction
• Echolalia
• Dysgraphia - Bad Handwriting Handwriting samples
• Thyroid Disease

• Prosopagnosia - Face Blindness
• Place Blindness
• Central Auditory Processing Disorder
• Iron dificiency Study
• Difficulty identifying smells Study
