When I started looking around for a breed that I wanted to get started with, I had a few guidelines. One was that I didn't want a rabbit that was the size of a kitten, and the other was that I didn't want one the size of a dog.
I also wanted a rabbit that wasn't sold at rabbit stores and one that wasn't too well-known of a breed. And lastly, I wanted a good show animal.
The Satin filled all these categories. Satins are usually around 10 pounds. They come in at least 10 colors and they are very rarely sold at pet stores. They have a unique sheen that makes them look satiny. Also, if you are into rabbits for meat, Satins are great. They also make wonderful pets!
