CD 151
H.G.CO.
Fizzy Blue-Aqua

This style of double petticoat insulator dates from the late 1880's. The CD151 was the first type to have drip points added to the base rim, but the smooth base variety pre-dates the invention of drip points by a few years.

Millions of tiny bubbles give this piece an overall "fizzy" appearance. It was removed from a standing pole of an abandoned line in Yalobusha County in 2001.
