PATENT DEC.19.1871
Near Clear

Just about as clear as any "1871" Hemingray-produced insulators ever get. These have a very slight silvery-gray tint to them.
These two examples are the same color, but different embossing styles: One is embossed "PAT. DEC. 19. 1871" on the front crown, and the other is embossed "PATENT / DEC. 19. 1871" on the front skirt. They were both found in Mississippi; one in Warren County, the other in Coahoma County, in the 1970's.
