JERRY O'CONNELL joins the cast of SCREAM 2 as Sidney Prescott's new boyfriend Derek, a pre-med student at Windsor College.
O'Connell made his film debut in 1986 as the boy who discovers the dead body in Rob Reiner's "Stand By Me." He starred in the MTV feature "Joe's Apartment," and appeared alongside Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding, Jr. in a much-noticed role as Cush in the Academy AwardŽ-nominated "Jerry Maguire." Next up for O'Connell is a role opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt in the comedy "Can't Hardly Wait." He currently co-produces and stars in the Sci-Fi Channel television series "Sliders." O'Connell was born on February 17, 1974 in New York. As a film major at New York University, O'Connell wrote papers on Wes Craven's work. |
