UPDATES Again some new things added:
Entirely new thing at Private ABBA Photos is SHORT HISTORY OF POST-ABBA TIME. As the title says, I have written a small summary about the ABBA members have done since 1982 when the group broke up. It is not particularly detailed, because especially Benny has done so many things that it is impossible to list them all. But this report is meant mainly for people who know practically nothing about the ABBA members activities after 1982. For them it may give at least some sort of idea what has happened between 1983-2000.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Here answers to some questions asked by Private ABBA Photos visitors:
I have no information about Hans Fredriksson's latest projects. The newest one that I know is rather old. He assisted main engineer Bernard Löhr at Polar Studios to mix the Ainbusk Singers live album FRÅN NÄR TILL FJÄRRAN. The record was published by Benny's Mono Music in 1993.
Some of you have asked about Johan Nörklit who took photos of the KRISTINA recording sessions. His photos were used in booklets of both original 3CD set and the recent 1CD highlights album. I am not sure is he Mona Nörklit's son. I do think that Mona has a son called Johan. Mats Nörklit, who wrote lyrics for Benny's EFTER REGNET and Barbro Bellander's single, is Mona Nörklit's brother as far as I know. And Mats Nörklit have told about Helen Sjöholm to B&B who were seeking for Kristina.
Then couple of persons have asked about Michael B. Tretow. I have no sure information, but I believe he keeps producing artistes and runs his own studio. The last new record that Tretow has engineered for ABBA members is Benny's album KLINGA MINA KLOCKOR in 1987. Since that Bernard Löhr has engineered all records involving Benny. However Tretow produced the album of Kalle Moraeus, which Benny financed. And Benny & Björn wrote the song BEATRICE for Kalle and Michael produced. It is very rare that the Bs give a new composition to be produced by someone else than themselves. Of course, in the 90's Michael B. Tretow has been responsible for all the remastering of old ABBA material, aswell as putting together the previously unreleased stuff for the 4CD box. Further on he worked with the ABBA music when it was reworked for the MAMMA MIA!-musical

A-TEENS Finnish TV2 rescreens the A-Teens documentary already this week.

LINDA ULVAEUS
Linda Ulvaeus is interviewed in this week's Hänt Extra magazine. Linda tells that she has decided to put all her enrgy into job as actress. father Björn would have preferred her to get an ordinary, good job. But Linda's brother Christian is more interested in technics and is a computer freak. He studies at technical college.
Instead mother Agnetha finds Linda's choice of job a nice one. She is jealous for her daughter. Linda tells that Agnetha was green of jeaousy after Linda played in the film "Under solen".
Linda studies at acting art college, but it took three tries until she got in to the school. Linda enjoys her studies.
Because of the ABBA fever Linda would prefer to have an other name instead of Ulvaeus. The day she marries her boyfriend Jens, she will take his surname! The ABBA hystery can lead to Agnetha and Linda burst into laughter when they walk togehter on street and people almost drop their eyes when they see the two together.
Linda Ulvaeus tells that she and her mother are very similar persons and are very close to each other. Sometimes it happens that Agnetha thinks of Linda at the same second when Linda phones her mother!
The present ABBA hystery is something that Linda doesn't understand. She went to the premiere of MAMMA MIA! in London and people rushed to see a glimpse of an ABBA child. Linda says it was absurd, it felt like being a member of the Beatles. Folk screamed after her and hewr brother. Linda got panic. In the end the police had to come and help!
PETER JÖBACK
Peter Jöback tells in this week's issue of Hänt Extra (it is lent from his interview in radio) about his hard time in 1997 and how he coped of it.
Peter had just arrived to London to play in MISS SAIGON. Everything felt dark and insecure and Peter was depressed. He didn't know anyone in London and like many artistes he is shy and emotional. Then he got a phone call from Kent Finell who runs the radio programme Svensktoppen. Finell told that Peter's GULDET BLEV TILL SAND had went into number 1 at Svensktoppen. This call was a turning point for Jöbac and he recovered. He became glad that a musical song topped Svensktoppen. Peter says that musicals, without any reason, are often regarded as rubbish. GULDET BLEV TILL SAND became hit of 1997 and still holds the records of Svensktoppen. Jöback says that the sabbath year that he took, has made good for him and he is now ready for new things.

VARIOUS LITTLE THINGS, VOL. 2
TV2 in Finland, for some reason, sent a 1984 SHINE promo photo for the press to promote the re-screening of SMILING PRINCESS FRIDA. Many papers have published this picture and also written about the programme.
Some time ago I wrote about Jari Sillanpää's concert and his covers on ABBBA songs. I now add that on THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC he had changed the lyrics a little. He sang "....I am the boy with dark brown hair...."

VARIOUS NEWS ITEMS
Aftonbladet writes that Niklas Andersson, who played Robert at Stockholm production of KRISTINA, has got a new role from West End, he will be playing in LES MISERABLES. His premiere in the role Marius on April 10.
Scandinavian media keeps telling about the success of ABBA in Holand.
SMILING PRINCESS FRIDA´s second screening in Finland was dedicated for Ruzzo Reuss. This was mentioned both on press and also was mentioned before the interview was shown.
The international millennium TV show was very nice for ABBA fans. Benny spoke in English about his psalm and home country. Benny was showed to play INNAN GRYNINGEN alone with organ, with Emma Härdelin singing it, plus a chorus performing it.
Berwaldhallen now has Benny biography on the page for the concert on January 5. He is the second one to be presented, between Joakim Agnas and Daniel Börtz.

DUVEMÅLA ECONOMIC DISASTER IN MALMÖ
Aftonbladet wrote on Tuesday, lending an article from Arbetet, that KRISTINA FRÅN DUVEMÅLA despite of being a huge success, caused losses of 20-30 million crowns for Malmö Musikteater, and they still are paying this. So says Ilmar Reepaalu from city of Malmö. He claims that KFD was profitable in Gothenburg and Stockholm, but made big minus for Malmö Musikteater. He wonders where all the big money in Malmö disappeared.
Carin Brorman from Malmö Musikteater gives her view to this. She said that KFD gave netto profit of 15 million crowns, and this has been spent to cover previous losses and to improve theatre's technics. She also tells that Musikteater earned several more million from Stockholm when they hired costumes, decorations etc. They also earned from Gothenburg performances.

JÖBACK
Peter Jöback will lend his voice to dub a role in the film "Stuart little". This American film will premiere in Sweden on February 18. Peter will only do talking, he will not sing.
At his official site's section Fan club Peter thanks his fans for the year 1999. And hopes that the fans will be around in 2000, which will be an exciting year for him.

FINNISH TV
Next week is good one for Finnish fans. On Tuesday, 22 a' clock TV1 will again screen THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL. It is the tird time already! On Wednesday at 18.45 will be rescreened SMILING PRINCESS FRIDA, the wonderful interview which was made in December 1996 when Frida visited Finland. Also on TV2, the same day, a little later, 20.00 will be shown the A-Teens documentary. And of course, the millennium performance of Emma Härdelin will end up the TV week full of ABBA conncected stuff.

BERWALDHALLEN CONCERT
Berwaldhallen now has details about the concert on january 5, 2000. The program tells that KFD song MIN ASTRAKAN will be heard. The surprising thing is that originally Berwaldhallen announced that they have ordered new music from Benny, but at least at present the program mention nothing about it!!! The concert will be send live on Swedish TV!

Universal Music Finland has now at their news section a mention about A-Teens's success in Finland. They write that the group has recently been in the studio recording material in Spanish, like ABBA once did...Also in told that Finnish TV2 will screen an A-Teens documentary on December 29.

THE ABBA GENERATION hs sold over 40.000 copies in Finland. This means that A-Teens will receive platinum discs.

STOCKHOLM'S MILLENIUM CELEBRATION
Aftonbladet writes about the celebration concert in Stockholm at the New Year. The total budget is 115 million Crowns. Among the artistes are Helen Sjöholm, Tommy Körberg, Karin Glenmark and Anders Glenmark. The show begins at 23.25 near Skeppsholmen from a huge stage that is built at the sea (!). First things to be heard are numbers from the B&B concert.

TONER FÖR MILJONER
The Toner för miljoner concert (Globen Nov. 20) where Peter Jöback did three songs, will be shown in the Swedish TV on December 17. Peter sang HON SER INTE MEJ, I WHO HAVE NOTHING and BROADWAY/AMERICA at Globen, it remains to be seen will all the three songs be in TV4's version.

Finnish paper Ilta-sanomat wrote on Saturday that Björn Ulvaeus finds Westlife's rendering of I HAVE A DREAM as one of the best ABBA covers ever. Björn tells further on that Westlife has been his daughter's favourite band, and now also he likes the group.

KFD BACK TO MALMÖ
There have been again rumours of KFD returning to Malmö. I mailed Storan and got answer in a few minutes, thank you to Storan! They wrote that KRISTINA's return is a wish which hopefully will become true. But everything is open, artistes, exact running time etc. And it will take quite some more time until anything is clear!

MAMMA MIA! the musical, as everyone knows, has been as is a huge success in the UK. Instead the cast recording flops, visiting shortly the lowest positions of Top75.
What comes to charts, it will be ineteresting to see how the KFD highlights CD and and Benny's psalm will do in the Swedish charts.

SOUTH-AFRICA
The massive South Africa project by the Swedish goverment is facing severe troubles. First other Swedish parties criticized the whole project. Then the whole promotion of the events failed. For example the concert of Dr Alban got the audience of 3(!!!), two locals and one Swedish tourist. Benny and Björn will not be going to the B&B concert. All this was reported by Expressen.

AFTONBLADET ABOUT BENNY'S PSALM
Back on November 2 Aftonbladet reviewed the recorded version of Benny's psalm INNAN GRYNINGEN (Lyrics by Ylva Eggehorn and performed by Emma Härdelin). The review is vary hard to translate, Jens Peterson has used very special expressions in his positive review. But he ends up the critic with "Quiet magic". And he says that this song which is dedicated for the next century, feels like having flying around and over the mountains for hundreds of years, finally getting out via Benny Andersson.

AFTONBLADET ABOUT THE NEW ABBA BOOK
Aftonbladet writes about the new ABBA book. They lend the interview of C-M Palm by TT. He says that it feels great that the book is ready now. They have worked on it since spring, practically every day. Palm mentions that Anders hanser and he have spoken to do this book for years.

MORE ABOUT RUZZO'S FUNERALS
Aftonbladet reports also later today, for another time, about Ruzzo Reuss's funerals. They use the headline "Frida said goodbye for her beloved" and has a picture of Frida and Ruzzo's daughters leaving the church. The paper tells that 220 guests attended the beautiful ceremony. Aftnbladet has also a special photos page about famous people who came to say goodbye for Ruzzo Reuss.

RUZZO'S FUNERALS
Aftonbladet writes about the funerals of Ruzzo Reuss. The church was full of people saying goodbye to Frida's husband. Among them were King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Prince Carl Philip, Marie & Tomas Ledin, Nanne & Peter Grönwall, Benny Anderrson & Mona Nörlkit, Lasse Flinckman.
Ruzzo's family had decided to play some of his favourite songs: Guitarist George Wadenius and two othet musicians played a medley of "As time goes by", "If I were av carpenter" and "A whiter shade of pale".

JENNY BERGGREN
Ace of Base's Jenny Berggren tells this morning in Expressen about the help that she has got from Frida.
Many of you propably know that a fan tried to kill Jenny at her home. After that life naturally was rather hard for Jenny. When it was at hardest, Jenny contacted one of her idols, Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
They went out to coffee together in Stockholm. The ABBA star gave advices how to cope with the two sides of celebritiness; both the success and the bad days. Frida had said among other things: "You must work with good people." Jenny tells that in her opinion Frida is a very clever, strong and beautiful person. Jenny admires Frida, a person who has coped with success and remain a normal person. Like anyone else, also Jenny became sad after hearing about Ruzzo Reuss' death.

Finland's biggest evening paper Ilta-sanomat dedicates today a whole page for Nordiska Museet's ABBA THE EXHIBITION. They particularly praise the photo show of Ander Hanser's shots.

A-TEENS
Aftonbladet writes today that the lauching of A-Teens in the UK has been cancelled. Stockholm Records has decided to cancel the planned massive promotion in November-December. This because there is too much competition in the British markets right now. MAMMA MIA!-musical. The cast recording of it. The ABBA tribute TV show and coming recording of it by The Corrs, Boyzone etc. So there is really a lot of ABBA connected thing in the Bristish markets at present. A-Teens' take a step back and instead of UK go to Las Vegas and Germany etc.

ABBA EXHIBITION
Yesterday Finnish TV1's main news broadcast had a feature of the ABBA exhibition at Nordiska Museet. Among the things the report included were interviews with Anders Hanser and Carl-Magnus Palm.
This morning our biggest newspaper Helsingin Sanomat has a largish article about the exhibition.
The opening day of the exhibition will be November 9 and it will run the whole 2000.

FRIDA
All fans have been chocked the last few days due to the death of Frida's husband Ruzzo Reuss. He died last Friday at his home, at the age of 49. He had a cancer which lead to death in six months. The Scandinavian press has been writing a lot about Frida's tragic loss.
OCTOBER 29
NEW KRISTINA RECORD
The official KRISTINA site announces that a 16 track highlight CD will be released from the original KRISTINA CD. If you visit the link here, you will be able to see the track listing and the rather original cover design. The title of the CD is 16 FAVORITER UR KRISTINA FRÅN DUVEMÅLA which means in English 16 FAVOURITES FROM KRISTINA FRÅN DUVEMÅLA.

JÖBACK: TONER FÖR MILJONER AND FILM
Peter Jöback fans should take a look at Globen's site, his photo now appears there.
The film DÄR REGNBUGEN SLUTAR with Helen Sjöholm and Peter Jöback is number 8 on the Swedish film top on it's second week.

LINDA ULVAEUS
When 3318 persons have answered to Aftonbladet's poll, 22% of them think that Linda Ulvaeus looks like Agnetha Fältskog while 42% find Linda and Björn Ulvaeus to look like each other. 29% of voters have the opinion that Linda Ulvaeus looks both like her mother and father. Only 7% of participants think that Linda looks like neither Agnetha nor Björn.
More about the article of Aftonbladet. Linda's studies at Stockholm theatre school last for four years. She has lost opportunities to become famous and earn money by not accepting roles is soap series. However, Linda has chosen to go the long way and first study the profession of an actor. Linda has had it tough sometimes, she says she must have sent 1000 letters with photos to producers, directors etc and asked "Do you want me?". When Linda Ulvaeus got a role in Colin Nutley's film UNDER SOLEN, her career began to get speed.

MAMMA MIA! has after a half year run. lost it's number 1 position in London. The new Disney musical THE LION KING (including songs by Tim Rice) is now the best selling show in the West End.

LINDA ULVAEUS
Linda Ulvaeus appears this week in the Swedish hospital TV drama series OP:7. She plays a woman who, like her husband, is Jehova's Wittness. The man needs a blood tranfusion, but the religion doesn't allow it.
Aftonbladet has a poll where readers can vote does Linda look more like her mother, father, both of them or none of them!
