FOX MULDER
CIGARETTE-SMOKING MAN
FOR THE PAST five years FBI Agents Fox Mulder
and Dana Scully have been investigating cases with
paranormal elements known as The X-Files. Mulder’s quest
is fueled by witnessing the abduction of his sister, Samantha,
when he was 12 years old. Scully herself has been abducted
and barely survived an alien-induced cancer.
Fighting against Mulder and Scully’s investigations is a
shadowy figure known only as the Cigarette-Smoking Man.
But while CSM stymies the duo’s investigations, he has a
deeper connection of some sort to Mulder. He appears to
have had an affair with Mulder’s mother, and the possibility
exists that he is Samantha’s real father.
Over the years, Mulder and Scully have discovered the
existence of The Syndicate, a shadowy group of men who
meet to “plan the future” and give CSM his orders. The
Syndicate is apparently involved in a colonization project of
some sort, involving bees and cloning technology adapted
from Nazi experiments.
The Syndicate is in cahoots with various alien races.
Included among these are a shape-shifting bounty hunter
who can only be killed with a special steel weapon. Also of
alien origin is a toxic black oil that inhabits individuals
humans, taking control of their minds and eventually killing
them.
The rest remains unclear, but the feature film promises
