THOMAS FARRER FOTHERGILL'S ENGLISH ANCESTRY

I thought you might like to see the English ancestry of Thomas Ferrer Fothergill. I am greatly in debt to Richard Fothergill and his 1998 book: THE FOTHERGILL'S A FIRST HISTORY. Richard's research has been invaluable to anyone that shares this name. Even though this book didn't make the connection for my branch of the family, further research on his part has been able to join my family with the greater Fothergill family of Westmorland, England.

His second book THE FOTHERGILL'S A SECOND HISTORY came out in 2001 and includes my branch of the family. True it's a humble group that gave rise to my branch of the family but, as we all know, any connection is a good one after you've spent years looking for it.

All that follows is the work of Richard Fothergill and comes out of THE FOTHERGILL'S A FIRST HISTORY. It, together with the SECOND HISTORY, are a must for anyone doing research on the Fothergill family name. I highly suggest that you purchase these and the forth coming editions still in the research phase and due out over the next several years.
