The paranormal is a subject of great debate.  Although the area is fascinating and possibly of great value, it is almost totally ignored by the scientific community.  Amidst the large numbers of crackpots and charlatans, good scientific testing and experimentation in this field is often overlooked.  The Millennia Consortium explored two specific avenues of important interest. 
     The first is that sightings of UFO's/extraterrestrial life forms are increasing.  The exact figures are hard to determine and certainly there is a portion of that figure due to general hysteria caused by to the upcoming change of millennia.  However, there is no denying that reports of UFO's are on the increase.  Taking into account even the most negative projections the fact is that we are being visited by extra terrestrials at an ever increasing rate.  Why?
     Our second area of paranormal research is precognition.  The ability to "see the future."  This area is far more disturbing.  In one study to find if there were indeed measurable methods to test for precognition, student volunteers from four universities were used in a test.  Three universities in the United States and one in Europe were chosen to participate.  In a double blind test, the volunteers were asked to write a short paper on what they felt that the future of man would be.  The  variations in the papers appeared to be what normal college age people would write.  Then a precognition test was administered to the students.  The papers from students scoring the highest precognition aptitude were read.  Eighty two percent of all of the papers from students with high precognition aptitude had something to do with some sort of disaster or apocalyptic event.
