Priest/ess and Healer

Things you need to do as a P,H or PH

Priests & Healers

(All Priest/ess & Healers MUST be Registered)

The Priest/ess Duties:

These are the real Priest/ess's, approved and registered by the forum to perform various ceremonies not limited to but registered by the forum to including: Resurrections, Soul Transfers, Weddings, Divorces, Baptisms, Last Rites, Burials etc... They are not medicine men and though they may heal and fight, their primary purpose is to counter the misfortune imposed upon a victim after attack.

The Healer Duties:

These are the doctors or medicine men registered by MFoR . Their function is to heal the wounded or to assist a registered Priest/ess in the ceremony of resurrection. They use their dice much as a fighter does though their powers invoke healing instead. They may also be fighters themselves but do not have the same abilities as the Priest/ess with regards to performing ceremonies.

General Ceremonies:

Priest/ess Exp's are formulated upon how formal or complicated the ceremony, on services that require no roll. All duties or services must be logged to count for Exp's. The log must state what is being done at the beginning; that information to include the Priest/ess name, Registration #, Date, Time & Time Zone, and Guild or Freelance Registration #.

Example: The Wedding of John Doe and Jane Smith, Mary Jones Presiding, #0000P or PH (if also a Healer), 01/01/99, 12:00PM CST, Freelance #0000K or (acronym for guild name)

Resurrections: Only in a resurrection does a Priest/ess need a Healer to help. Priest/ess must be assisted by at least one healer, though no more than two altogether, in the Rezz of any victim who has died due to assasination attempt/AA, murder, natural death etc... Both the Priest/ess and the Healer/s must roll at least 5 hit points each for the resurrection to be successful, the total points needed at the end of the Rezz being at least 40, whether the victim be mortal, halfling or Supernatural. Each may roll only twice per rezz on any given victim, logically the Healer/s going first to repair the body followed by the Priest/ess who gives it life.

Note: If in attempt to heal a victim, the Healers roll misses completely, they can no longer try to heal that person for the remainder of the day. A victim has 24 hours in which to submit a Rezz after his/her death.

Format of a Rezz:

(Also used for DM Rezz & Soul Transfers)

~~~Open Log~~~
(MFoR Rezz on Name, Date & Time zone, Reason (AA etc...)
~Healer/s & Priest/ess State~
Priest/ess or Healer Name, Guild or FL#, Dice, P/H or PH#0000
Priest/ess or Healer Name, Guild or FL#, Dice, P/H or PH#0000
(Healer/s go first to mend the body and roll 2 rolls to make it per P/H)
(Total after each roll ~ 00/40)
(After the Healer, Priest/ess gives life and rolls same as above.)
(Final Total ~ 00/40)
~Rezz Successful ...or Unsuccessful~
~~~Log Off~~~

**Everyone must list the number of resurrections they have received in their profile** Example: Rezz 2/4

The maximum number of times any particular SN can be raised is 2 at 2d20, plus one more alotted for every additional 20 sides of their dice.

d20 = 2, d40 = 3, d60 = 4, d80 = 5 d100 = 6

Soul Transfers:

A Soul Transfer is that process by which a non-mortal being is made mortal. It is generally referred to as the undoing of vampirization but also used upon other types of immortals or even to make a halfling become fully mortal. One Soul Transfer is allowed per character/SN. So you can be a 3d or 4d, Soul Transfer once, and become a mortal 2d. The Soul Transfer format is the same as a Rezz with exception that only a Priest/ess is needed and the total required hit points needed for success is 20 (00/20) All other stating is the same.
