Save Our Films From The MPAA!!

How is the MPAA ruining the American film industry?

• The MPAA Is an organization which is in charge of deciding on the ratings given to films. They can make or break a film, by giving it an NC-17 or even an R rating. When we are dealing with new and independant film makers, they can make or break that film makers career.
• If an independant film maker gets slapped with an NC-17 rating, their film is shown in fewer theatres, which means a smaller audience. Which in the end can spell disaster. A film can be slapped with these extreme ratings for any number of reasons-nudity, graphic violence, graphic sex, or even an extreme number of fart jokes. THe MPAA is the plague of film makers, and animators alike. And it ts the plague of freedom of choice, for it takes the choice out of our hands.
• How can we stop the MPAA? It is up to us, the film makers and the veiwers. Write to them, write to your senators, write to anyone that will listen, or whom you can make listen. Support your independant film makers, by seeing their movies, regardless of the ratings they have been given. Remember, Big Brother is here, but it is not to late to stop it!!
