What do we do now, where do we go from here
Do we act the same way the others did, it isnt clear
Is that what God means for us to do today
To cause needless pain and injury in the same way
I think this thing can be done in a way that will justify
We dont need to kill the innocents there is a way just try
Can we root out the evil ones, make them pay the debt
Do this all without harm to the ones who cant fight yet
If only we could go back and start over again
Stop the maddness, the fighting , bring an end to pain
How did we all get so tied up in this grief
Is there any way we can help each other get relief
Could we be instruments of peace and love to this world
So many wonderful people neath the flag unfurled
Wounded hearts wanting to hurt those who came
Revenge for the dead, as we call them by name
I pray that wisdom will prevail on this earth
And maybe a new kind of freedom will give birth
To a tolerance and kindness for all who live here
Who can cling to traditions and things they hold dear
Those who are guilty must pay, of this we are clear
They cause so much heartache, to all who live here
They need to be hunted and punished by all
And never again under their evil will we fall
Bless the poor and the weak, help them be safe now
Show those in charge where the answer lies and how
To get to those they need, in a way that hurts only them
Bless us all Lord , give us strength, Amen and Amen
