Stunning from any angle. This car really turns heads! Everywhere you go you will get comments, compliments, and questions.

In 1969, the Series II E-Type adopted a bulkier below-bumper talight and turn signla design, but this 1968 Series 1 1/2 retains the sleeker Series I design.

Except for a couple of very small bubbles and cracks, the black paint job is absolutely gorgeous. I believe it is the original paint, but I don't know for sure. Most of the chrome trim pieces are in A+ shape as well.

The 1968 Series 1 1/2 has the more efficient uncovered headlights of the Series II, but keeps the sleek Series I turn signal design.

The chrome push bars on both front and rear bumpers add a lot of style.

The long hood tilts forward for easy access to the engine bay.

The rear hatch swings up and out of the way for easy loading of the cargo bay. The longer wheelbase of the 2+2 model has longer doors which make it easier to get in and out.

The gap between the hood and the body is because I forgot to close the hood all the way before taking the picture. This car's body is stunning!

The beautiful leather seats still look great and flip forward to ease access to rear seats.

As beautiful as this car is, it is not perfect. Like many 1960's British cars, this Jag has a few minor electrical issues. Except for the oil-pressure gauge, the odometer, and the voltmeter, none of the gauges work. The radio does not work either. Also, the steering wheel is cracked, but it is still entirely driveable.

The odometer is still ticking and it shows 48,554 miles which, to my knowledge, is original and accurate.

The back seat is quite accomodating for one person, or two smaller people.

With the rear seats in their normal position, there is a good amount of cargo space in the beautiful leather cargo bay.

The seats can flip forward to increase cargo space.

With the rear seats flipped forward there is even more cargo space.

The rear hatch glass is cracked. A replacement glass comes with the car.

The torquey 4.2 litre inline-6 Jaguar engine provides plenty of power. I easily pass cars driving at highway speeds up the steep mountain passes of the Colorado Rockies. It does make a small puff of smoke when the gas pedal is pushed hard, but after adding a smoke-reducing oil additive this seems to have stopped happening.

Only one of the two radiator fans is working. I have only experienced overheating once. The day I took delivery, it had to be jump-started (because the ignition had been left in "accessories" position during shipping) and I left it running while I filled up on gas because I didn't want to have to jump it again. Since then it has never overheated.

I have installed a new rebuilt alternator and new rebuilt fuel pump (Both from XKs Unlimited) to improve reliability.

Series II dual Stromberg carbs provide improved fuel economy over Series I triple Weber carb set-up.

I was unable to find the number on the gearbox or on the body, but the Car number and Engine number match the identification plate (see pics below).

I couldn't get very clear pictures of the car number stamped on the chassis or the engine number stamped on the engine block (below), so I took them to Photoshop to try and make them clearer. Both numbers match the identification plate (Car: 1E78469)

Once again, photoshopped. 7E54767-9 matches the ID plate.

The w ire wheels clean up quite nicely!

All four tires are in great shape and have lots of tread left.

It is hard to see, but there does appear to be some corrosion on the bottom panel below and ahead of the driver-side door.
