Meteora World Tour 2004

Never in my entire life have I ever been so energized from something, Sunday January 19 2004 will be a day I'll never forget. I attended the Linkin Park Meteora tour at Nassau Coliseum and had the sickest time.

Hoobastank and Linkin Park stole the show. They delivered non stop adrenaline and insanely intense music. They met every expectation that I had and truly tore the roof off the Coliseum.

Never could I have imagined being this close to my favorite bands and it was truly a mind blowing experience. Instead of saying what I liked and hated, I'm gonna grade each band's performance.

Story of the Year: C+ - These guys look like a decent band, unfortunately they don't sound like one. They did their best but didn't make me wanna hear more of them(I couldn't really hear them in the first place) I will give them props for doing spinning kicks and twirling their guitars in unison though. And they tried to cover Enter Sandman , but again they let their show overshadow their music.

Hoobastank: A - Although this grade may be a lil bias, they really ripped shit up this time. Doug's vocals are unbelievable and Dan's guitar riffs are fast and furious. Every time I see Hoobastank they just get better. I was disappointed they didn't play What Happened To Us but they did a shtick, and did a cover of Girls jus Wanna Have Fun that was mad funny, so it made up for it.

POD: B - They were hard and heavy, unfortuanetly the lyrics were muddled and I didn't know half the songs they were playin. Sonny and Wuv were holdin it down, but I wasn't feelin the new guitarist, he wasn't brown enuf or as good as Marcos.

Linkin Park: A+ - Quite possibly the greatest live act of the Century! From Chester's piercing vocals to Mike's Def Rhymes, Brad's blistering guitar work to Hahn's sadistic scratchin. They are worth seeing in any venue cuz when they headline a show, they do it right. They even had a break dancer bustin inasne moves and had a kid from the crowd come up on stage and play guitar on Faint (Which I would have given my left nut to do)

The show, the music, the crowd vibe was in full effect that night and left me with a feeling of satisfaction that I'll never eeeeeeeeeeeever forget!
