When mercenary Carl Hanson crossed paths with a man possessing a photograph of the real Abominable Snowman, Hanson assaulted the man and stole the picture, determined to find the Snowman himself and make himself wealthy. Several times he was warned that the picture itself was cursed and that he should discard it immediately.

He traveled into the Himalayas by himself, and after a long amount of time, began to lose his sense of reality. When last seen, Carl had lost the ability to talk, and now resembled the creature in the photo.
