        Sainida is the official main character of the story, although the story doesn't revolve around a specific character. Sainida was born and raised in the water village, she comes from a long line of Water Village natives and seems to carry the common Water Village spirit. Although she doesn't look it, she's already been married and has had five kids. She considers herself lucky to have 3 kids still alive and to live with her Aunt and her Aunt's youngest son. A majority of Sainida's family has already deceased, including her husband.

Huln

        Huln is the leader of the Water Village and also the leader of the group as they search for a purifier. Huln is the most collected and confident of the survivors. His leadership qualities are obvious with every move he makes. The group would trust him whole heartedly if there own emotions wouldn't get in the way. Huln is the one responsible for the way of life in the Water Village. His personality is the ambassador of the village itself. Huln is on good terms with everyone, but he's especially close to his room-mate Kruschia. They've grown up together and are practicaly brothers, the two show unmeasurable kindness towards each other.

Kruschia

Pronounced: KROOSH-CHEE-AH

        Kruschia is the gentlest and most concerned of the group. In the village he looks after Huln and he's always the first to extend help to another. Kruschia is more motherly than anything but very much apprieciates the value of others. Kruschia is the oldest remaining member of his family, though he has lots of nieces, nephews and even grandchildren. The loss of the Water Village people should have been tremendous on him, but he was too busy with others to be concerned about himself. Perhaps he is a little too unselfish?

Jareoben

Pronounced: JAY-RAY-(OH)-BEN

Height: 176cm

        Jareoben comes from the largest family of the village and also is the most cheeful member of the group. He grew up with Sainida and is quite close to her. Whenever there is something which concerns a choice of people, these two automatically think of each other. Despite often trying to be heroic, Jareoben is really quite vulnerable and usually gets himself hurt. The deaths of the Water Village people had the strongest impact on Jareoben, despite him not letting others see it.

Taisuk

Pronounced: (TIE)-SOOK

        Taisuk is the only member of the group who isn't a native to the Water Village. Taisuk came from one of the many small unnoted tribes which are scattered around the world. He's been living at the Water Village for a few years and mainly spends his time with Jareoben. Taisuk is very stern and focused, he knows what he wants and protects what he has. There is no knowledge of Taisuk's family. Most unnoted tribes are only the size of an immediate family, so it is presumed that Taisuk is the only member of his family still alive.

Kolmi

        Kolmi is pretty much the opposite of Jareoben and as expected, they look down on each other. Kolmi isn't an official member of the Water Village, he only joined the group for safety as he traveled to find a new home. Kolmi was an only child and his parents disapeared when he was 10. Presumably they were attacked by animals while on a trip out of the village. After that Kolmi seperated himself from the village and has been living just outside it ever since. Kolmi is very quiet and constantly looks like he's in deep thought. He's very strong, solemn and is capable of making good decisions quickly.
