Arguably the most photographed building in the city with a 40-metre clock tower, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is one of the most breathtaking piece of architecture ever built by our former British colonial. It is an amalgamation of the intricacies of Moghul, Moorish, Arab and British neoclassical architecture and functioned originally as the heart of British colonial administration in Malaysia. Presently the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is the seat of the national capital's judiciary. A few years ago, the building was partially razed by fire, but steps had been taken to restore its elegance. Every night, the edifice lits up with such radiance that it earned Kuala Lumpur the title, 'garden city of lights'.
