A Day in the Life

This was my pivotal day on December 2, 2005 filled with fun, excitement, and "thrills"!!

It's Early

In my hand is the single thing that scared the crap out me and simultaneously woke me up aside from the ever familiar drone of the alarm. The clock said 7:45.....I said, "CRAP!!! I'M LATE!!!" But then I remembered I purposefully set my clock 20 minutes fast so that i make sure I get to where I need to go, which was my marketing class.

Fresh Out of Class

Just out of my Introduction to Marketing class which is in room 212. We have to do a project which basically consists of doing a marketing campaign for a chosen product in our case is potato chips. Some groups in our class were asking Joe Chilsen questions on basically how does he want this done, and to explain his reason to not really say what exactly he wants by telling a very compelling story. A good friend of his Mike was dying of cancer. As Mike was getting down to the end of his rope, Chilsen and Mike were spending more and more time together. One day on one of these visits Joe was throwing out the idea that he was going to get out of teaching and Mike got up out of his bed, with both hands grabbed his shirt and said "You better not quit teaching! What your doing means something. Because its the things that are hard is what helps to define our lives and provides the most reward." After he told the story, the whole room fell silent. It was the kind of silence you can hear ideas, and principles to live by sinking in. Granted those moments happen to all of us, but when you experience them, it is simply amazing.

Fresh Out of Energy

Right now at this point in my day (granted I've only been awake for about 2 hours) I am ready to go back to bed. The intricacies of soil geography honestly isn't keeping me in the now with interest. Right now I'm hungry, could use a HUGE cup of coffee, and a shower so the time in this class just ticks by one minutes at a time and makes me want to bang my head against the desk or nearby wall. I do cheer up when 10:45 hits and the class ends along with all my classes for the day.
