This is my team with who i became third in the Duth National Competition

Hi there ..i can tell you all about the game over here ;-(
.....Or just entertain you with a couple of pictures and animations and tell you just enough to make you understand what's the meaning of the game
I will make a little explanation by the pictures or animations so that you will understand what's done or meant by it ;-))
A little explanation is never wrong
OKee the game is played by 6 boules a team ...who would ever geuss
.... and a cochonet (little wooden ball)
--> goal off the game :
make 13 points(every boule closer than youre opponent closesd boule is a point)
It's that easy!!!

Just a picture of the game ,
If you might wonder how people would recognize their boules .....
every bouler knows his boules!!!!
But just in case ;-))
Each sett off boules has a unique number in it ;-))

just some irritating boules but funny ;-))

In the official rules of petanque says that when you lose with no score 13-0 :-))
YOU will have to kiss the butt of fanny ;-))
I've found a couplle of picture's of Fanny and here they are ;-))

As you can see they don't look like each other :-))
....But that's because in France they just took some one who was walking by or was watching the game ;-))

There 2 kind of petanque players : :

1
pointeur:
The player that throws his ball in such a way that his ball should be the closesd one to the cochonet.

2
Tireur
The player that shoot's away the ball that belongs to the opponent.
The most apriciated way to shoot a ball is :to throw the ball just trough air landing exactly on the other ball ;-))

This fellow must be the word champion ;-))
just to lett you know what i mean

This is what the call a "carreau sur place"
Te ball that hass been thrown is taking over the place where the other one whas lying ;-))
This is what the people whant to see
However a vieuwer who is also playing the game knows that placing a ball is not always the easiest thing to do
Why isn't that the easiest ? i can hear you think ;-))
Whell a placer have to make sure that he knows on what kind off ground he is playing,
the hardness off the ground is effecting the way his ball reacts on the ground
..that is something the shooter doesn't have to know
Because his ball is suposed to hit the ground after he hit the ball of his opponent
A pointeur has everything to do with the underground:
hard or soft ...smooth or bumpy everything effects his ball
All things that just makes it harder voor the pointeur.

So you see it's just a little bit more than "just a game"
Well if you're interested in the game by now just check you're area ;-))
And maybe there is a club near you

If you ever come are in Holland and in the neighbourhood of Venlo
Don't walk just by but visit our club you're always welcome
.....perhaps you want to play a game or just watch the game and have a drink....
Hope to see u.
We play every Thursday evening
