10 Reasons To Live For Jesus

My name is Elaine and I am from North Haven, CT. I am a born again Christian, and I go to Good News Christian Center. I have been saved by the grace of the Lord! Are you saved? Don't know what it means to be saved? It says in the Bible that:
Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
Think about it for a minute. First, let's look at the situation from Jesus' perspective. He had the power to call 10,000 angels down from Heaven and destroy the earth, which would have saved Him from the agony of the cross. In His flesh (yes, even Jesus lived in the flesh, and felt the same temptations that we face), that must have been tempting...but instead, because He loves us so much, he took every sin that every person has ever committed (and ever will commit), and died in our place. If Jesus didn't die for us, we would not have the option to be saved from Hell. It would not be our choice. There would be no hope for anyone in this world. However, because He loves us so much, He chose to die, out of His own free will, for YOU. Even if you were the only person left on earth, and you were nailing Him to the cross, He still would have died so that you could have the option be saved. If that's not unfailing love, I don't know what is.
Now, let's see it from God the Father's perspective. If you only had one child in the world, would you be willing to give him up for people who disrespect you, sin against you, and treat you wrongly? I don't think so! But guess what? That is exactly what God did for us. If you try to figure it out in your mind, it will never make sense. But God did it for this reason: He loves us more than we can ever even begin to understand. He wanted to be able to have a personal relationship with each and every one of us. He sacrificed His only son so that He could have all of us as His sons and daughters. 1 John 4:19 says that "We love because he first loved us." Read 1 Corinthians 13, which is nicknamed "the love chapter." The only reason we are able to love is because God taught us to love. God is love, and He wants to show you His love. All you have to do is accept it.
If you would like to get saved (accept Jesus into your heart and as your personal lord and savior), pray this prayer aloud:
Dear Heavenly Father, I respond to your invitation and come to you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ.
I come with all my sins, heartaches and addictions. I turn away from the evil of my past life and turn to you, Lord Jesus.
I believe that you died for my sin and that you rose from the dead. You are the Son of the Living God. By faith I receive forgiveness and your free gift of salvation. Thank you for accepting me as your child. Fill me with the power of your Holy Spirit, so that I may follow you all the days of my life.
I believe in my heart what I now confess with my mouth: Jesus is my Savior, my Lord and my God.
I pray this in the name of Jesus.
