Salvation

Salvation

God now offers salvation to us not through any religion or good works, but through our personal faith in Christ. In order to be saved, we must acknowledge our sins and repent,{that is, turn from our sins} we must believe that Christ died for us, and rose again; we must receive the risen Christ by faith as our personal savior, and we must publicly confess Him as our Lord. After we have received Christ in this way, He dwells continually in our hearts by faith, and He gives us eternal life and the power to lead a life of righteousness and victory over sin.

***Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. (Proverbs 27:1, KJV). (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) (2 Corinthians 6:2, KJV).

1. When should we seek salvation?

***For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.(Ephesians 2:8-9, KJV).

1.What is Gods remedy to cleanse our hearts from all sin?

***That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10, KJV).

1. If we desire to be saved what two things must we do?

2.With our hearts? With our mouths?

***All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. (John 6:37, KJV).

1. If we come to Christ will He reject us?

***Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20, KJV).

1.Is it possible for us to know that we have eternal life?

***And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (1 John 5:11, KJV).

Salvation gives power to overcome the world and the devil
