WHERE BABIES COME FROM

"They are angels of God in disguise,
His sunlight still gleams in their tresses,
His glory still gleams in their eyes."

Carol and Dale doing their family history

As soon as I figure out how, I hope to download my massive quantities of genealogy here.
For now, suffice it to say that I'm a 14th generation Virginian
(my father was a 13th generation Virginian; my mother was a seventh generation North Carolinian)
whose ancestors were English, Welsh, Scotch-Irish, German, Swiss, French, Dutch, and Algonquin Indian.
I've placed my first nine Pedigree Charts below.

As for my own seven little darlings, they were each born in a different location, and they were all huge.
And, no, I am not diabetic.

That would equal 71 lbs., 9-1/4 oz. worth of babies!

It also represents (including four miscarriages) almost twelve years (Dec 1969 - Aug 1981) of being
pregnant or nursing or both without a break - and then starting up again!

Long Ago ( And Far Away )

 Lyrics by Jerome Kern

Music by Ira Gershwin (1896 - 1983), "Cover Girl", 1944

Long ago and far away,
I dreamed a dream one-day,
And now that dream is here beside me!
Long the skies were overcast,
But now the clouds have past,
You’re here at last!

Chills run up and down my spine,
Aladdin’s lamp is mine,
The dream I dreamed was not denied me!
Just one look and then I knew,
That all I longed for long ago, Was you!

Long ago, so long ago and far away!
So long ago! So long ago and far away,
I dreamed a dream one-day,
And now that dream is here beside me!
Long the skies were overcast,
But now the clouds have past,
You’re here at last!

Chills run up and down my spine,
Aladdin’s lamp is mine,
The dream I dreamed was not denied me!
Just one look and then I knew,
That all I longed for long ago,
So long ago, was you!
Just you!
