Our Chapter was founded November 14, 1958 and serves the lower Fairfield County of Connecticut. The mission of our organization is to provide a forum for our members to meet and foster fraternal fellowship. We have about 100 regular and auxiliary members. Specific purposes of the organization is listed below.
The purposes of our organization shall be:
(1) to inculcate and stimulate love of our country and our flag
(2) to uphold and defend the constitutional government of the United States of America
(3) to advocate military forces adequate to the defense of our country and to oppose any influence whatever calculated to weaken the national security
(4) to aid active and retired personnel of the services represented by our membership in any legitimate and practical manner, and
(5) to create harmony and a spirit of camaraderie among all officers of the uniformed services of the United States through an organized program of social and fraternal activities.
This organization is a nonprofit affiliate of The Military Officers' Association (MOAA). As such, it strives to help and support legislation designed to further a strong national defense, promotes and fosters better relationships between its members and the community in which they live, and offers opportunities to renew old friendships and make new friends through chapter meetings and social activities.

Men and women who have served or are serving on active duty,
or in one of the National Guard or Reserve components, as a commissioned or
warrant officer in one of the seven US uniformed services, as well as widows or
widowers of any deceased member of one of those services. Yearly Dues
are $20.00, and our year starts each January first. (Auxiliary members are dues
exempt).

The chapter holds dinner meetings during the even calendar months, at the Italian Center , 1820 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT (see map). Our December and February, meetings are held at 1300 hours on Sundays, rather than the usual Tuesday meetings at1800.hours. Meetings normally include a program speaker.
The chapter conducts an active Young American Awards Program (YAA), and at the June meetings, graduating seniors from area High Schools, selected by their respective faculty members, are honored at a impressive dinner ceremony.

Sunday, December 12th will consist of the Election and Installation of chapter officers for 2005, plus the sweet singing of the SWEET ADELINES. These ladies have been with us before and they were a great hit. A memorable way to wrap up the WCMOA year.
Visitors are invited and welcome to attend, however, reservations are required. You may mail a check, $25 per person($30 at the door) to Ray and Dorothy Bartlett, 15 Hillside Ave, Darien, CT, 06820=5011 prior to December 8th. (Note; The Italian center serves no liquor, but you may bring your own. Set-ups will be provided.)

Exit 35, High Ridge Road, Stamford, CT. Bear Right onto High Ridge Road. At fourth traffic light turn Left onto Vine Road (Shell Gas Station). Go to the end of Vine Road and turn Left onto Newfield Avenue. Go approximately one and one-half miles to the Italian Center on the left, immediately after King and Low Heywood Thomas School.
