The Engine

Here is the powerhouse of the Spitfire. A 4-Cylinder, 1296cc engine. It is FAR from done now but I am slowly making progress.
I have already cleaned and re-installed the pistons and piston rods. I also bought a new set of pushrods, seeing as I was missing two and i would rather get a whole new set rather than just replacing the two I was missing.

Well...to bring y'all up to date, I have installed the new head gasket and bolted the head on. I did have another problem with a stripped head stud, but that is being taken care of. I also have put on the rocker assembly and adjusted the spacing for timing (i hope i did it right).
Then last week I was able to attatch the water pump to the head and i am now getting ready to put the fuel pump and distributor on.

All in all...the engine is now starting to look more like an engine than it had previously. I will have some more recent pictures up soon.
