EL ASBIYYAH

Victims of the Spanish Inquisition!

In the memory of Al Andalus, and the victims of the Spanish Inquisition!

A list of only a token few of the victims of the Spanish Inquisition, who were either Moriscos or Mudéjares of Spain or Portugal! I say shukran, to those who helped me, in this endeavor to trace at least a small portion out of thousands who perished at the hands of the Spanish Inquisition. Many were either from the towns or provinces of Guadix, Galera, Aragón, Belfique, Malaga, Vivararrambla, Andarax, Granada, Algarves, etc. For the sake of their memory, and the need to preserve our Moorish history, I present the following names (142) in total or so. Some more Moorish looking than others, in the form of Arab or Berber origen!

It is reported, that 3,0000 Moriscos and Mudéjares, were amongst the victims of the Spanish Inquisition and more importantly accredited, to the bloody hands of Cardinal Ximénez de Cisneros. And yet oddly enough to many Christians in Spain even today, he is hailed and regarded as a patron saint! But yet to us the descendants of the Moriscos and Mudéjares, he was as we say in Andalusian Arabic, (JABAAN KELSIDU), a worthless coward, who hid behind the cloth to do his tyrants. Insha'allaah, may these names at least serve to demonstrate, that these Moorish brothers and sisters of whom their first names in the cases of many were not admitted, did not die invain even in the 21 century of the Christian Calendar! When I was asked about the reason why I did this webpage, I was reminded only by these names to utter to he or she who asked me why the answer, "TO NOT LET THEIR DEATHS BE INVAIN!" If you only can just imagine what it would mean, to be ethnic cleansed. To be reduced to a long forgotten memory. Where only, the only remnants of your ancestors, are long forgotten Moorish names, of what was once Islam's beloved Al Andalus. Then, you would be moved to tears as I was, when I came across just only mind it be, a small fraction of these long forgotten Moors! May they rest in peace now. May Allah grant them safety. And above all may they know, that they did not die invain. And though I may be just one of the few who care Wellaahee, I shall go forth until I cannot go forth anymore with this issue. I shall bring to the forefront the truth not that given by the Spanish Cristians but instead, by the Moorish descendants and Muslims as well, to what atrocities and holocaust was commited, at the hands of the Spanish Inquisition!
